You are captured by a serial killer. His method of operation is much like one Infamous Zodiac killer had. Has the real Zodiac returned or is this his copycat? Contained and left in his lair, escape is your only chance. You have only 60 minutes to escape, or the next body in the morgue will be yours. Please note that this room requires minimal physical activity.

This room was super fun and had a lot of unique elements. I can't say too much without giving it away, but I loved the flow of this game and the teamwork required! The game master, Tommy, did a great job making sure we weren't getting stuck, and gave us the perfect nudges only when needed.
There's a secret part, you'll know when you see, that I loved! Even the fridge runs, so you can tell they really paid attention to the details in the set of this game.
Another shout-out to Monty, who was very friendly and fun! All the staff here is amazing ππ»
Yes
If you're familiar with the zodiac killer, it follows that fairly well! If you aren't, there's enough details inside the room to give you the complete understanding. I really enjoyed the ending of this game, as I felt it really tied in with the whole story!
Hard
I played with just 2 people, and I think I would have rated it a bit easier with more. If you're up for a little challenge, 2 is plenty! But if you're new to escape rooms, this might be tricky. There is a decent amount of reading, but not too much that it's overwhelming. Most of the key details are marked somehow.
High tech
There are lots of tech elements, but some locks and physical puzzles as well, which I love!
5
Minimum 2. I think up to 6 would be great. Probably wouldn't do more than 8. There is lots to do though, so everyone should have something to do.
Spooky
No jump scares. There are some "spookier" elements of blood, rats, dolls, etc. So if you're easily freaked out, you might not love it. But I wouldn't call it scary.

Optional crawling
One part wouldn't work if you use a wheelchair, but as long as one person on the group is able bodied, you should be fine.

Ok, this room was pretty creepy! Especially since it was based on an actual serial killer who was never caught! I keep thinking one of these days, an escape room I encounter will be run by a real murderer and I will meet my fate. :-] This one could have been it, but, luckily, we lived to see another day. The beginning of the experience was unlike any other room I have experienced so definite props on them for that. The rest of the puzzles were pretty standard as far as escape rooms go but there is an unexpected 'sacrificial' part in the middle that was unique and added a whole other level - literally! It was a medium intensity challenge for a group of 4 (2 teenagers so more equivalent to a group of 3 maybe ;-D ). There was a lot of "finding things" in order to work on clues and, apparently, some of the group seemed to overlook things so keep your eyes open to hidden objects that are probably right in front of you! Overall, a great escape experience that I would recommend and would definitely go back for more.

We did this same room at the Fullerton location and we enjoyed our time here, at the HB location, the most. Sam hosted us and was a lot of fun! She introduced us to her friend Axey! I really enjoyed her storytelling before we started. This is a pretty old room but it was still just as fun as the newer ones. Experienced players will recognize similar puzzles. We got out pretty fast. Next time we know not to board a white van again!

It could be a lot spookier and darker

Our game master Vincent(e) was so amazing! Super engaging and entertaining. I had a blast. He really set the stage for the room.

We had a great time in this room. However, it did feel a little bit short for our group of 4. We got out with about 25 minutes remaining, so if you want a longer experience I would suggest a smaller group. Overall our game master was awesome and the atmosphere of the room was super cool. They also have some unique interactive parts of the room!

A good mix of both.

We had 4 but got out super easily. It would be more of a challenge with less people.

I really enjoyed the roomβ¦the immersion, the story, it was great! I will say that the one in Fullerton is a lot better, not very different but itβs slightly larger and is a bit more spooky.

This is my absolute favorite room I have ever done. The puzzles just clicked and made sense to us. We managed to make leaderboard as well. The theme was super cool and well executed. The set design and ambiance is an A+ as well. Overall an extremely solid room

This was a lot more fun and a lot more interesting than we expected! I'm a scaredy cat, so I can confirm what a few reviews here have said - tolerably scary/spooky. (I still broke a panicked sweat at the plot twist mixed with very effective sound effects and that horror movie soundtrack. π«£) Linear, clever puzzles, creepily good set design. We dug it! And survived!
