Solid escape room with a good number and variety of puzzles—including one puzzle mechanic we haven’t seen before in ~250 rooms, so that’s always a positive! This was our favorite of the 3 rooms we did here (and perhaps our favorite room that day including 2 at another company), so I bumped the rating from what is objectively-speaking more of just a 👍 to a ❤️. Would definitely recommend to beginners and enthusiasts alike. We did it as just 2 enthusiasts and got out in ~35 minutes with just one hint on something we admittedly should’ve figured out and kind of saw on our own, but we were rushing because they had booked our timeslot incorrectly and we had to get through the room as quickly as possible to keep the schedule moving (which is NOT how I we like to experience escape rooms but we were left with no choice here). (Long story short: If you book in December for a room in February, the online booking system will show timeslots that won’t actually exist in February because they run different holiday hours in December, and they can’t list different timeslots for December vs. February. Why on earth this would be the system design and how the manager/staff did not catch this issue for our bookings is beyond me. 🤯 At least they tried to help us rush through our rooms so we could still fit in all 3 bookings we’d made… but it definitely marred our experiences with these rooms. And at least they gave us a gift card for the inconvenience, which was a nice gesture.)

It was ok I don’t like the click button clue because all we wanted was batteries for the flashlight and they gave us a clue. It was a cool room not as challenging as I would’ve wanted.

We’ve done most of the rooms here. This one might be… second favorite? The design/theme is really fun, just don’t pay too much attention to the story haha. Sometimes the pacing seems off - you can collect lots of stuff, but only one puzzle matters at a time. And one puzzle was a little too ambiguous to interpret. But that being said, this room had some really great puzzles and we really felt like we were committing a heist. Staff was great. Place was clean and welcoming. The Gift is good for casual to experienced players.
Definitely some novel elements. But as with most Red Door games we’ve done, the flow is questionable.
Loved the set design. Some fun props and everything felt true to the theme.
Welcoming front desk. They had to start us a little late, but they were super apologetic and nice about it. GM was great.
Yes
The puzzles were really fun and unique to the setting.
Not good. Not a good an intro video and even in the room, it was somehow worse. Don’t do this room for the story alone. But the actual game is fun.
Hard
Medium-Hard. Some real easy puzzles, a few that were difficult. It depends on your group.
Mechanical
Mostly mechanical with a few (really good!) tech elements.

There are stairs. And at least one person has to crawl through a space. Another puzzle just requires a bit of moving around.

This was a fun room. We failed the "Once Upon A Time" room earlier today (not even close to finishing it) so I was pretty nervous about attempting this room which has a higher difficulty rating. The good news is that with six players we were successful! This was my 18th game (13W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. The other players in my group (4 adults, 2 tweens) have similar statistics. We played the Christmas version. The room was well decorated and the puzzles were fun. It was mostly non-linear so everyone had something to do.
The set design was really nice and everything appeared to be in working condition. Since we played the Christmas version, a few decorations were taped over the usual ones, but it did not detract from their function.
The design was nice. The puzzles were fun.
Our GM was nice (Melissa, I think?) and gave us nudges when she saw us stuck and hints when we asked.
Yes
I really liked two of the puzzles (one we needed a hint with though...)
The plot was cute and movement between the rooms was easy.
Hard
There were quite a few puzzles so more hands and brains is recommended. We had a few puzzles where one player would be confused and another would exclaim, "Oh! I know!"
Mechanical
I think it is actually split. There were quite a few traditional locks but also several tech-y tasks.

We played with a group of six and this was good for our experience level. This was my 18th game (13W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. The other players in my group (4 adults, 2 tweens) have similar statistics. You need a minimum of three for one of the tasks.

There are stairs. Movement between rooms is necessary as is kneeling. Nothing high energy though.
There are stairs, color puzzles, visual puzzles, etc.

It is in Fashion Valley Mall (with lots of covered parking and a food court)

The mall has ample free covered parking. One lot is directly across from the business. We did three rooms today, so we brought our dog and left her in the car during our games. We really appreciated the covered parking and grassy areas for the dog. The Green trolley also stops withing walking distance of the business (like, 500 ft away?)

This was our second room at Red Door and I look forward to playing even more when we travel to another city with their games. I would recommend the rooms at this company to anyone! They’re well made, flow well and super fun. The themes are unique and immersive.

Very fun experience. The theme was pretty fun and the GM took good care of us. This room is fairly challenging but can also be beginner friendly.
Very fun, good flow
Fun environment and props, interesting plot
Staff were all super cool and helpful. Our GM Adam was extremely enthusiastic.
Plot is silly if you think too deeply about it but enjoyable in the moment
Medium
Last puzzle was significantly challenging because of the timing aspect

At least one team member needs to be relatively agile to get through a window. Most people should be able to do it though.

It’s at the mall so there is parking galore, it’s right by the parking lot too so not a far walk through the mall.

One of the locks was already open. It was fun. Good for intermediate players to start, but puzzles towards the end are more advanced.

This is the second game we did here, first being Once Upon a Time. This game was much more fun and balanced than Once Upon a Time. A couple difficult puzzles, but we had a great time. Definitely brute forced a couple puzzles. Would suggest 3-4 max for this room.

Pretty linear, but there was plenty to do. We really loved the solutions to the puzzles. The room itself was very well decorated.
