Frankenstein Escape

Visually the room was top-notch! I have been impressed with the look of their rooms, but then it goes downhill very quickly. The story is a familiar one and you are instantly thrust into the world of mad scientists and their illicit experiments. Beautiful to look at but the puzzles fall short. The beginning starts well enough and gives you a clear path to what you need to do / find but afterwards it falters. We ended up needing a lot of help to move forward and even when we were nudged we often felt like we wouldn't be able to figure this out without the GM walking us through it. If you are looking for a spooky room to do at this location, I recommend the Dracula room.

This room was pretty beat down with wear and tear. There were a lot of things that popped open or started working with no indication of what was opening or what we had to do next. The story was a little lackluster. Not my favorite room- happy theyll be replacing this soon with something new!

Good variety of puzzles and set design/immersion fabulous game is closing soon so glad we got a chance to play. Some nods and similar tasks to other rooms at this location.

Nice set but felt to manufactured. Broken props.

This game is labeled as an expert level game and I see why. The puzzles were difficult, but not because they made you think, it was because they were missing some logic behind them. The second room has 4 locks (all the same length and type) with no indication as to what combo goes to what lock. Also, the way of obtaining those combos didn't make the most sense. I enjoyed myself in this room, but we also had to reset one of the puzzles for our GM who didn't close one of the doors. It wasn't a huge deal, and we reset it because we wanted the full experience. This experience ended with us wanting a picture, but our GM ran off and left us to fend for ourselves in the lobby.

This is a pretty good game. There's a lot to do so bring the crew. The puzzles were pretty intuitive, although the game itself wasn't easy. BEAUTIFUL set designs with lots of lab & monster themed puzzles and a semi-linear flow. If you are in the area, come for Dracula and stay for this one.

Theming at this location is great. Emersion is always appreciated and this room does it.

We did three games back to back with Frankenstein being the second game we played that evening. We were fresh off our win in the Jurassic themed game and had really enjoyed that game. This game had a decent set design and some interesting mechanics and puzzles throughout but was probably not our groups favorite game of the three.

Good game, fun. There was one puzzle that was extremely difficult to figure out and had to use a hint and help to solve it.

Possibly the weakest of the games we played at "St. Louis Escape". This game was smaller, less designed, and far more underwhelming than Jurassic or Dracula. Still a decent game for atmosphere, story, and tech. But just barely scratched by as a "Good" experience.
