Permanently Closed - In this adventure you and your group need navigate a magical forest maze to break the evil curse that was put on the woods by a dark wizard. Ages ago 5 elders met at Elders Rock and swore an oath to protect forest kingdom, the Mother Dragon, and her eggs. The 5 elders founded the 5 Great Houses of the kingdom, which still live on. For a long time there was peace an prosperity. However, that all changed when an outsider from a far away land, later to be revealed as a dark wizard, stole the Mother Dragon's 3 eggs from Dragon's Keep and enchanted the Mother Dragon with an evil curse. Now the dark wizard uses his enchanted dragon for evil purposes. To save the kingdom you need to find the 3 dragon eggs to break the curse put on the Mother Dragon. The eggs have been hidden and locked up throughout the kingdom. To find the dragon eggs you and your team will have 1 hour to navigate a giant 80 foot x 40 foot maze built in the woods, crack codes, unlock doors, and escape before time runs out. Along the way you will visit important locations such as Dragon's Keep, Elders Rock, Devil's Mouth Cave, and the Enchanted Forest. Are you up for the challenge?

Super cool outdoor maze with really good puzzles along the way. One of my favorite rooms!! Highly recommend!!

I loved this escape room! It was super close to my house so I plan on coming back soon. The landscape was super cool considering the filmed multiple stranger things scenes here. The whole room was outdoors and I was sweating. BRING BUG SPRAY AND WATER!! The whole thing was put together very well. The staff was super nice. The escape rate is 25% but it goes down to 10% at night. Definitely recommend 8/10

Tl;dr: This is a great maze. If you are trying to team build though, it is easy to get separated and not work together. If you have never done an escape room, it is not beginner friendly. You should know how to work together, when to ask for hints and what kind of puzzles to expect bc it’s even harder to get help when the game masters can’t see you and you’re lost and you don’t know what’s going on. This was a wonderful experience and I LOVED it, but not for beginners! For context, I’ve done a few escape rooms and have a core team who I work well with, but I went to this one with a group of newly-met coworkers to try and team build. I’d never done an outdoor escape room and they hadn’t done ANY escape rooms and thus with this being a maze, they got separated and stopped working and communicating with each other. They also didn’t know the protocol with asking clues and hints and therefore we ran out of time (though we did technically escape). This is just to say that all of that is on US, not Escape Woods! This is such a fun time! It’s a giant maze made out of wood palettes, but there’s also set building integrated into it. I recommend doing it at night with lanterns, it looks super cool (though it is a bit harder, but worth it imo). Doors move and open, though mostly what it is finding the path to a door with a padlock. You’ll have to work out the code, and then that goes to the next door and the next. It’s basically a padlock based maze but you do get a chance to separate and work on different doors (the downfall of my team lol). It def has an “outdoor camp” feel in the best way possible. I would recommend reading the description online before doing it bc it goes a bit deeper into the lore/story of the maze than what’s written in the actual maze itself. It is not spooky, and was a great time, even my team agreed that they all had fun. Again, I don’t think it’s the most beginner friendly just bc you should know how an escape room works and how some of the puzzles typically go, but like I said, as long as you’ve done one or two this is DEF worth it. The guides were amazing and lovely. Fun fact, we originally wanted to do the Pig Farmer but couldn’t book it in time. Once we failed the maze I asked the guides how hard the maze was compared to Pig Farmer and they looked at us and said “This one is considered easy” so THAT worked out in our favor lol! I’ll def be back to do more however! Thanks for a lovely evening guys!
Check with game masters asap if you think you got a code right but it’s not unlocking. We put in the right thing more than a few times but couldn’t figure out how to configure it properly and just assumed we got it wrong and kept trying and trying, wasting our time.
Do it at night!
Coolest staff.
Yes
Outdoor/Camp feel! Very cool, not corny.
Pretty cool. Wish there was a scroll outside that explained all the kingdoms maybe? It’s on the site though, so maybe just read that first!

Not for beginners

At least 5. I think 8 would’ve been ideal. Maybe even more. I could see a small class doing this and having a great time!

Somewhat
I mean it’s a maze so you have to walk lol
I think they have other mazes that would be more accessible in this area. This maze does depend a lot on sight and mobility.

Give yourself 15 minutes extra to find it. We almost got lost several times.
Easy
They have their own parking.
