John Hayden's Room

John Hayden is not hard and very entertaining to play. Not creepy and the puzzle required to have keen eyes and team work.

A little easier than the other rooms that they have, nice one to start with.

I would say this was probably my least favorite of the “John Hayden” series rooms but that’s not saying a lot because I still thoroughly enjoyed it! I agree with the other reviewers that the set design was awesome but the puzzles felt a little lackluster and “lock heavy”. It’s still a great room and definitely would recommend everyone to do the whole series.

LOVED this room. I love that at 13th Hour almost everything ties back to the John Hayden story, and it was great to finally do his specific room. This room was well done and clearly thoughtful.

I have to agree with the other reviews on here - the set design was on par with other 13th hour rooms but the clues themselves were really lock heavy. Too many locks to know which combo went with which lock. Definitely my least favorite out of the 13th hour rooms but still good

Good set. Logical puzzles. Two issues - 1 the clue-giving was not functional. We got clued several times when we hadn’t asked for one and always for a puzzle we’d already solved. 2 - there are many four digit locks with no indication of which goes with which puzzle, so you have to try every code you get in multiple locks until you find where it fits. We wound up using a “real” clue because we hadn’t tried one of the codes we figured out on all locks. And the GM had to come into the room to deliver that clue. So both issues collided. I’d still recommend playing this room. It was good. But with a little rework could be much better.
