Schrobbelèr, a Brabant tradition that originated in the 1970s in Jan Wassing's old office. As a stomach patient, Jan could not tolerate strong drink. On his own initiative, he mixed existing drinks, supplemented with homeopathic remedies and herbs, until he found something his stomach could tolerate. It turned out tasty too. The herbal liqueur as we know it today originated from his famous old office. Proud as Jan was of his recipe, he didn't want to share the recipe with anyone, afraid it would be counterfeited.
