The inhabitants of Vault 22 we’re to work on creating new sustainable sources of food that could be grown in and out of the vault years after the war. A fungus species introduced turned out to be hazardous to the vault dwellers and quickly took over the vault itself. The inhabitants with no choice fled the facility when their attempts to eradicate the plants failed.

Players assume the role as scavengers of the wasteland that have heard rumors of profit to be made in an abandoned vault with a potentially active reactor core. The job of players is to infiltrate the abandoned locked down vault and retrieve the nuclear reactor core.
