Dark Altar

Least favorite escape room so far. The atmosphere of the room made no clear sense. Some the puzzles were interesting but the last puzzle was ridiculous. It got to the point where our game master had to physically come into the room to help BUT even she couldn't clearly explain how to complete the task. This ate up so much of our time that we barely escaped and took us out of the experience.

A lot of technical issues rose along with being on the right path but not hitting the actual idea for a lot of the puzzles in there. It was pretty frustrating since many of the puzzles didn’t make sense and our game master kept repeating clues that we already knew but reworded it.

My least favorite of the Omescape rooms. I still enjoyed it. Some of the puzzles didn’t make that much sense.

Despite the name of the room, this is not a scary room. I completed with room with a group of 4 and it felt like the right amount of people. Out of the other rooms I’ve completed at Omescape, this one would have to be my least favorite, it is not a bad room at all but wasn’t as memorable for me. The final puzzle was very confusing and at the end we asked the GM to explain it to us. We were still a bit confused at the end but overall had a good time regardless.

This room physically requires three people at least, but four would be better. We booked with two and twice in the course of the game employees came in to be “meat puppets” for us so we could finish certain puzzles. Some very unusual puzzles. And a nice story. Very much enjoyed this one.

A good beginner room! It wasn’t scary and I liked the physical elements.
