Your journey begins in a remote area in South America. Your mission is to find your missing Uncle Thaddeus who disappeared years ago. He was last seen venturing into a cursed mine shaft buried in the depths of the Dragon Spine Region of the Andes Mountains in Southern Chile. Locals in the nearby villages have nicknamed this now dormant mine shaft The Dragon’s Lair, due to a mysterious fire at sea that sank the boat of the mine’s shaft’s last active crew. Nobody has been brave or stupid enough to enter The Dragon’s Lair since this tragic accident took place in the late 1920s. But for unknown reasons, your beloved Uncle Thaddeus went down there. This set design is really quite impressive, very up to par with most maze room sets. However, the gameplay could be tweaked a bit seemed a tad outdated. I enjoyed the room (my partner not so much). The last puzzle didn’t really make sense with the overall theme of the room and the ending was somewhat lack lustre. This room definitely has potential to be better. I’d give it a solid 6/10. Maybe 6.5 or 7 if I’m feeling generous. Our GM was amazing! She was so sweet!

The dragons lair is a very cute unique cave and lair themed room. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this room and the customer service was outstanding.

The puzzles weren’t really connected well. Too many jumps in logic and too many things that eat up time if you try a solution without being correct. You shouldn’t have to waste 5 minutes trying to input a solution before finding out you’re wrong, and spend another 5 minutes trying a different variation. Some of the puzzles are super finicky. We had the right solution but the mechanism didn’t trigger so we ignored it thinking that would be useful later. We were talking about the solution out loud, so I think the GM should have noticed and asked us what we had to verify that we were right but it just wasn’t working properly. There were a couple puzzles like this. Also there was one puzzle that was really confusing for us and we used our hint on it but it felt like the GM wasn’t really explaining anything to us. And when we still didn’t get it, he seemed pretty annoyed and it felt a little condescending when he tried again. Overall, I think some of the props were cool, but I don’t think the puzzles flowed that well/logically made that much sense and I wasn’t a fan of the GM.

This room was amazing the set design was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend doing this room, fun for all ages.
