Fun theme, fun puzzles, spooky atmosphere.

**REAL SPOILERS** I want to preface this by saying my group and I had a really fun time in this room and at this place, but the room itself was incredibly frustrating. Right off the bat, I wouldn’t do this room if you cannot hear very well, cannot tell pitches apart, or do not know the Bible extremely well. There are at least 4 different puzzles that are entirely based on sound, sounds that are way too quiet. The first major stump for us was a puzzle requiring very faint, barely-there marks on a gear. When you turn the gear, it plays a scream, which you must then stab a statue in various holes until you find the matching scream. There are five symbols and you must replicate the screams in that order. It is incredibly hard considering the screams are all pretty similar, played very quiet compared to the sounds of the room, and the gear lines up to an arrow on the SIDE of the rack it is on (I swear I couldn’t even see it when they pointed it out to us). There is a separate sound-based puzzle where you must repeat a sequence of five musical pitches in order by memory. The sequence plays, and you must repeat it one note at a time. Another puzzle has you trying to match depictions of Bible verses in stained-glass pictures to what that image “sounds like”. AKA, sounds of chattering people was matched to a picture of a tall tower (Tower of Babel). 
We had fun, we did. The puzzles were very confusing sometimes, and we had to be walked through a couple of them (ie. the screaming puzzle and the bible pictures), but the room had a great atmosphere and flowed from one puzzle to the next rather well most of the time. There was a lot to be doing at once, so it worked well with the five of us that went. However, I do find it incredibly strange having a room that requires so much outside knowledge of the Bible, especially since the title of the room gives pretty much zero indication of that theme. Luckily, my best friend studies at a religious school and is very versed in the Bible, because I personally am Jewish and was pretty confused. It also is a little off-putting that the mission for the room is repenting for your sins and finding the Lord to be granted access to Heaven… But I can sort of look past it. It might’ve been an easier pill to swallow if the name wasn’t “Medieval Madness”, it does not give any indication of the HEAVY religious themes. If I’m in Miami again, I would definitely still play some of the other rooms, I just wish we knew a little more of what we were actually playing a room about.
