This was one of those rooms where we got out and then we were like "wait, that was it?" - and honestly I kind of hate that. It makes the whole experience very unsatisfying, because it's so much better once you can work through the puzzles and then KNOW when you get to the penultimate one - and that you are almost out. Otherwise, as Stephie noted - we normally think that the sketchier the place (i.e a warehouse in an industrial park -- bonus points for the spooky animatronics and dilapidated Scooby van parked outside) the better the rooms will be. I think we have this philosophy because of Thirteenth Hour, which I am sure anyone who is doing rooms here has heard of or has frequented. This place gives a similar vibe but not as well on the execution. It does bother me a bit when there are no ceilings on the rooms, but some escape room places make that work with their creepy music, etc or the way they time game play that the rooms aren't right next to eachother at one time. This one, had really loud music but we could still hear another group screaming all sorts of things which definitely takes away from the ambiance and also makes it kind of hard to think. I genuinely enjoyed the theme of this room, and think it has potential to be great but unfortunately a lot of the puzzles were broken, and extremely worn down. Another pet peeve of mine is when you can see other people's puzzle attempts on a puzzle (like a list that has light lines on it that someone drew on) and think it shouldn't be too hard to replace those items when they get to that point. We weren't sure if we were going to ever come back here after this experience.

Not my favorite room - was very meh. Things were super worn down and the building itself that Brighton is in is not my favorite. I usually have the philosophy that the sketchier the building the better the escape rooms will be, but honestly this place wrecked that philosophy. All that being said, it was like ~fine~ and we went back a few months later to do a different room and that one was a bit better. Needs to be updated badly.

**If you get there early and have to wait for the previous party to finish the game, WAIT IN THE CAR!! DO NOT WAIT IN THE HALLWAY because you would hear all the clues and spoil the fun ** It was a fun room with spooky atmosphere. There was no blood nor gory scenes though. The puzzles were not difficult. The βroomβ has an open ceiling so sound from outside of the room could easily be heard. Luckily we were the only party in the warehouse so we were not affected by background noises. Not sure how our experience would be if we went during the busy Halloween season. Some important props were not well maintained and would interfered with the flow of the game.

Although I enjoyed the puzzles and the structure itself, this escape room uses a lot of audio clues. This normally wouldnβt be an issue, but when I was there the sound bleed from Brighton Asylum was extremely loud, making it very hard to figure certain things out. I had fun, but there were many external frustrations that really affected my enjoyment here. I donβt know if the escape room is open all year round though, so maybe this is less a concern when itβs not October

Room 1408 is just that, set in a hotel room. The design was creatively creepy that fit the theme perfectly. So if youβre looking for something a little spooky this is perfect. Beware of a handful of red herrings so I wouldnβt spend too much time on a task if it isnβt going anywhere. Also an audio puzzle or two that would make it difficult for the hearing impaired. But overall a great room!

βThere were some unique puzzle designs in there, but the flow of the game wasn't really there.β
