Hyde Circus

It does feel like you're exploring an old circus where everyone is either resting or gone. And as one may expect in an older circus, some of the items were not working as they should, but there was enough immersion, creativity, and thought that went into these puzzles that redeemed it. This room did a good job of touching upon all aspects of the circus life and if the puzzles all worked seamlessly, I think this room could be one of their best. The last room could also do with some renovation as the ending felt a little lacking. Would suggest 3-4 at any experience level. And remember, if you're feeling stuck, just think, what would a clown do?

The storyline of Hyde Circus revolves around a circus troupe. We become part of the ensemble, and we unravel its mysterious hidden secrets. The difficulty level for this experience is middle of the road for me. We had a group of three and we all had plenty of to do. Another person may have felt too crowded with the space that is available. The set design feels old, and I wonder if they could make a couple of changes. There is a wooden plank that our game master warned us about to be a safety hazard, and I'm wondering why they just don't remove it since it does not seem to be an integral part of the experience. Second, they need to do some maintenance on a couple of the puzzles because we had to get our game master's attention after having solved for them. Other than that, the general atmosphere does its job in the immersion but it doesn't hurt to do a quick update. There is a parking lot in this area, and we came a little bit later so there were plenty of spots. If you're coming during a peak time of the day, plan accordingly for street parking.

Solid room but it was really dark and some clues were really tiny. I wish we were given a flashlight but otherwise very solid room. Our GM had to juggle supervising 3 rooms but I think he did a fairly good job all thing considered.

Welcome one and all to Hyde Circus! Our team of 6 struggled but managed to escape the freakshow. Puzzles were abundant but medium in difficulty. This is definitely worth the price. Get your freak on to get your freaks out!

This was an interesting room, wasn’t expecting it to end the way it did! But definitely worth trying out.

Hyde is definitely my favorite of the Silverlake 60Out rooms (I have yet to do Houdini). This room was very big and full of puzzles. It really did feel like you were walking outside a big top circus and making your way through. Really well executed rooms and creatively built setting. Though it felt like some puzzles took a second to trigger, escape rooms are gonna escape room so it’s not a big deal. Lots of fun ideas were crammed into each puzzle and none felt out of place or forced. I had a great time.

So much fun. Beautifully themed. Puzzles were fun and engaging. Great surprises too

Solid room. We finished it relatively fast. If you have done multiple escape rooms I wouldn’t really recommend it. More of a room for first timers in my opinion

We had a good time, but the room seemed a bit… tired? Some parts were broken and lights were not all working which created challenges outside of the design. Also the story seemed ill-conceived. I don’t regret going but also would not recommend it to others.

Definitely funner than I expected, but nothing too crazy. This room and Houdini are the only 2 rooms I’d recommend from this location. Group of 6 of us escaped, have to say the room came with more surprises one after another. Some of the puzzles didn’t make sense or didn’t trigger in the proper way so the room can use a bit of TLC but overall, it was a fun room to complete.
