This is one of those rooms that sticks with me for a lot of reasons. The first is probably the impression upon entering the space. It’s the perfect spot for a steam punk themed tea party or a small birthday gathering of puzzle fiends. I loved the style and design of the waiting area.
The second is definitely our game master who is also the owner. He was pretty concerned that we were attempting this room as a pair and certain we wouldn’t even begin to finish. Somehow (with his help) we did. It also didn’t hurt that he was very funny in providing hints and afterward stroked my ego a lot—claiming I was impressive at completing puzzles and told us he never thought a group of two would be successful.
The game itself was a lot of fun. Just LOADS of puzzles to complete and an overwhelming amount of visual information. It would absolutely be better done with a group of 4 people. Perhaps more… It is a pretty “old school” kind of room without high tech interventions. But very tactile and hands on.
