So you finally made it out of the house... but was it a better idea to stay indoors? After escaping The Study, and running downstairs, you find yourself in the mudroom of the Tandy home. One more door stands between you and your freedom, right? Wrong. Once outside, you find yourself in Edward's cold and dark courtyard surrounded by a 14-foot tall wooden fence. Edward's daughter Lilly once resided in the trailer in the Courtyard, but she's long gone. Painfully, she was forced to leave someone she loved behind. Will you be able to save Lilly's lover Quinn, or will the officer perish while you try and escape? The Courtyard is by far our most ambitious room to date. Like, Chapter 1: The Basement, The Courtyard is a non-linear funnel puzzle with multiple paths that must be traversed by different members of the group.

This room was really disappointing and so lack lustre. This is supposed to be considered the BEST escape room in LA but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. Iβm fairly sure the reviews have to be fake because there is no way this βescape roomβ if you can even call it that is legit. Donβt get me wrong the set is amazing but the game itself SUCKS. In every room the puzzles are very basic, and you only have 45 min to get through these rooms (and NO HINTS) which is not enough time for even fast players. Also thereβs really only 2 rooms and a trailer on the set as the βthird roomβ. The LIVE actor takes up quite a lot of time talking instead of getting to the point. We just felt so sad leaving having drove quite far to 1. Not even escape and 2. Have such a disappointing experience. The staff also ask you to tip as youβre leaving which makes the experience incredibly awkward. I would not recommend going here. Youβre better off booking a room with maze rooms or quest rooms. This whole place just feels like a scam to take your money and give you a lack lustre escape room under the guise of being βthe best escape room in LAβ

All the chapters were so much fun, so scary, so stimulating, and so realistic.

Very immersive, I love the twists and turns of this game. It was a little small, when we escaped I thought there was more to it. Quinn was great, sorry again.
30 escape rooms
This was for sure fun, but definitely tough. In my opinion, having more than 2 ppl would make this more fun and flow better. The production is very very high, as with all the other basement rooms.

I really liked this games but we played with a bunch of people we didn't know and they weren't talking to us so it was chaos. Cool set though.

We did all four rooms at The Basement and Chapter 4 was our last one of the day. You did truly feel like you were in a serial killers courtyard and the live actor made things even more intense (in a good way). Did get a bit confused once in the trailer and really a puzzle that only two people should be working on. With a group of 6, there were some moments where not all of us could work on any puzzles because we were waiting on another puzzle to be solved. I'd say good for 4 people and asking the actor for guidance is key.

From a set design and puzzle solution stand point, this was my favorite of the rooms as The Basement. The live actor was absolutely amazing and an integral part of the room. Several of the puzzles are pretty lengthy to solve but can only be done by a few people at a time. Smaller groups are definitely preferred if you want the complete experience. But seriously, how do you make something feel like a true outdoor experience while inside a building?!
βIt really feels like you're outside!β
βThe craft, imagination, immersion, puzzles and fun are all the top of their gameβ
βA spectacular outdoor environment... the set was a work of art.β
