Inspired by Shakespeare's comedy and the famous Al Pacino film, “The Merchant of Venice,” the authors of Escape Venice have created an immersive experience that will leave you breathless. For 60 minutes you will be transported to the Venice of the Serenissima. You are the Merchant of Venice and you will enter the studio of Shylock , the famous Venice torturer, where a precious treasure is hidden. You will have to hurry because time is running out and you have to find the treasure and pay the debt you owe to Shylock or he will, as per contract, take a pound of your flesh. The moneylender will watch you! He has posed many puzzles in defense of the treasure because he wants to collect his pledge! Will you be skilled enough to find the treasure and save your life? In order to create an immersed environment, the room recreates the environment of a Venetian studio from the 1600s. The Mercante di Venezia is a medium / high difficulty escape room but many, even at the first experience, have managed to find the treasure. The important thing is to get into Shylock's logic and follow the clues. In the room you will be able to interact with all objects except those with the prohibition symbol and you will not have to use the mobile phone. For the rest, you don't need anything else but sharpen your eyes and your wits.

I wish I read the reviews before booking. Like the rest of the reviews say, this room has no flow or sense to it. There are an overwhelming number of locks and the puzzles, to say the least. The room was frustrating. My husband and I have played more than 75 rooms together in multiple countries around the world and this was one of the most unclear rooms we have experienced. :/ also, a lock was unlocked upon entering and a key prop was missing for one of the puzzles. At the end of the game I asked the employee to walk us through everything that was unsolved to explain why anyone would ever think to do that, etc. I hope the owner might see these reviews and works on making the room better.

This is not a well done escape room. The puzzles lacked flow and it was more frustration than anything.

Terrible room. This is probably how the first Escaperoom looked like. Small room filled with unconnected puzzels. It has one room and absolutely nothing was worth it. If this was the first room I played; I would think escaperooms were boring and would not play another.

Awful escape room. The room was filled with un logical puzzles which all had locks on them. It’s a common issue we saw in previous reviews and we definitely get why. There’s an obnoxious amount of locks. Some of which just leading to another lock. This was extremely demotivating. Do not recommend
