Rating: 3.5/5 - Unique theme, fun puzzles, but needs some upkeep Pros: ➕ Enjoyed the theme, apparently the owners used to own a Chinese restaurant. You can tell by how authentic the props and set are, I am Chinese and my childhood friend used to own a Chinese restaurant so it all felt very familiar. ➕ Puzzles were fun and mostly fit the theme well. There was a nice variety of tactile interactions, visual, numbers, etc. ➕ The video they recorded for the room was very entertaining and fit perfectly. ➕ Multiple areas to discover and explore. ➕ Nice mix of tech and padlocks. Lock mapping was good, not too many of the same type. ➕ Satisfying ending ➕ GM was friendly and helpful when needed. Room for improvement: ➖ There was a reset error leading to the GM pausing our game to come in the room to fix it. But then a maglock was still left open so I'm not sure if he actually fixed it. ➖ Some of the tech was finicky and not working properly. ➖ Many of the props are showing wear and tear. ➖ One character you meet just felt a bit cheap and immersion breaking. ➖ The overall vibe of the room and company is just starting to feel dated in 2026, I would've loved this room 5+ years ago. Overall this there is a lot to do even for 3 players so I'd recommend 3-5 enthusiasts. They do allow 2 person bookings if you call. My team of 1 enthusiast and 2 beginners did escape but we needed a bunch of nudges/hints.

We loved this game. It was innovative and had a ton of different types of puzzles. The game masters were super friendly and very easily accommodated us when we wanted to do a 3+ game with two people. It was a really fun activity and our first Dallas escape room!

Afterwards, we were told that the whole theme was connected to the family of one of the escape room designers - they even used the beautiful carved arch from the original family Chinese restaurant!

Cool room. You definitely felt like you are in a Chinese restaurant. We struggled with just two people but it is doable with two if you dont spend too much time on individual puzzles like we did. We almost made it out but came up short. One particular puzzle was fun to start but then became downright frustrating for us. Fortunately our nice GM Joey allowed us to skip past it to keep moving forward. Big rooms and lots to do for bigger groups.

I enjoyed Wong’s Chinese Restaurant so much that I would eat here! Loved the authentic decor from an actual Chinese restaurant, with acting from the original restaurant owners. The story was hilarious and great. There are a lot of puzzles on offer for takeout, and they are all so so soy delicious. The flow is fast, so you’ll probably want big teams, though our team of 2 pandas escaped with some time to spare. GM Joey was very helpful and encouraging for our escape hiyah! We made the leaderboard because we were as swift as the coursing river! Highly recommend making an instant trip to do this nice rice room, dumpling!

Must do! The setting is unique and feels authentic (for the theme) - because it is actually based off the owners' real-life connection. You are transported to a true-to-life looking Chinese restaurant. A unique blend of puzzles, requiring a group of 4 experienced players (or a group of 5-6 with a mix of experience) to solve it successfully. The gameplay is non-linear. The mission and starting points are not obvious - requiring attention and observation - a recurring theme throughout the experience. It's a challenging experience overall but quite rewarding when you solve and make progress. Our GM was welcoming, friendly, and provided helpful nudges. Although you can get unlimited hints, any more than 3 won't count toward leaderboard eligibility. The clues are typed out on the screens - and we appreciated that the GM would pause the timer if he needed to manually input the clues. I'd recommend this room to all enthusiasts. Better to go with a team of 4-6 and split up to tackle different puzzles.

Challenges come from non-linearity, variety of puzzles, and "where do we start/what do we do"? (It's part of the fun). Cannot afford to take too much time on any puzzle. Important to tackle two puzzles at any given moment. If everyone is stuck, ask for a clue.

Snuck this one in on a trip to Dallas happy we did. This room is full of puzzles and originality. It has old school escape room vibes but in the best way. The story is unique and tied to the owners and the puzzles are fun. Went down to the wired on this and loved the rush. Took a strong team to get through this as many of the puzzles happen at once and you have to stay organized. There is some math but you get a calculator and it’s in theme. 🥡🥢

For a room that we did not pass, I still had a lot of fun. There were some wear and tear on the puzzles but all of them worked as they should. I would rank other rooms in the area higher on my list but Wong’s is a solid experience. They don’t give you any clues to start with so the first room took us the longest to get through. It seems like a lot of folks were only a few puzzles short. We were one puzzle away and I’m so grateful to our game master for showing us what would have happened at the very end. I would recommend four people because there is so much to do! Parking was a breeze and the people here are friendly and passionate about what they do. Would come back to try their other rooms!

Very fun room even though we didn’t escape. We spent way too much time in first room. Ugh! LOTS to do in this room so no problem bringing a larger group than you normally would. Appreciated some Go the little touches throughout.

It was super fun! The tech worked for us! A ton of puzzles. There were just three of us and we failed with about 2-4 puzzles left.
