Classified: Operation Nine Lives

We were able to complete Classified in its final month, and we’re so glad we did! What a quirky, unique room. The puzzles weren’t especially difficult, but we loved how the room kicked off — super unique and immersive. Our game master was Jordan, and he had us laughing from the start and throughout the mission. Super fun and worth the stop!

Classified had the most unique gameplay of any room we played at the Downtown location. Cute cats, different gameplay mechanics, and a great time to be had by all 😸

❤️ for the first 75%. Really enjoyed the opening sequence and unique gameplay. The theme is incredibly fun and the room plays hard into the cat theme 👍 for the ending. The room fell a bit flat for us for the end few puzzles. For a room that started on a high, we wish that played through the whole game. Overall, a fun game that had us laughing and chucking things around (in a good way!). We just wished the last act was as fun as the first two.

This was such a fun and enjoyable room! The initial phase was especially unique, with some really clever and creative puzzle design that we absolutely loved. I can understand what people mean when they say the second half feels a little underwhelming in comparison, but honestly, we didn’t mind it at all. At the end of the day, we’re here to have fun and enjoy the experience! And of course, the cat theme was, as always, absolutely adorable. It was hard not to be feline good while solving everything! We finished fairly quickly as a group of four, so I’d say this is more of an easy-to-moderate room rather than a difficult one. That said, I’d still give it a high rating based on some of the standout puzzles alone. There were a few that were genuinely clever and memorable. Overall, a cute and entertaining experience that definitely deserves a pawsitive review! 🐾

Wasn't personally a big fan and couldn't understand what all the hype was about EAG. They were so highly recommended and to me the only one that lived up the the hype was Castle Fluffendor. Dark lullaby was good, can't say it was great. All the rest were mediocre.

Just another fun escape room with a charming cat theme. The puzzles were enjoyable, and the playful atmosphere made for a lighthearted experience. It’s a great choice for cat lovers or anyone looking for a fun, casual room.

Tier: B+ (see bio) Woah. This game is really nothing you expect from the title, even with that cat-related subtitle. This is a really strange and one of a kind game. The plot is absolutely insane and the gameplay does really unique stuff. In particular, the 1st portion is really special. The introduction is really immersive, funny, and ends with a series of really great reveals I didn’t see coming. We played the Chimera Corp Saga the same day yet I swear this introduction was the most in a universe I felt the whole day. Then the 1st gameplay portion has a gimmick that I’ve never seen; or at least I’ve never seen it being played into this hard. I assumed this gimmick would last at most two puzzles but it actually remains for almost half of it and they find so many cool things to do with it. I did find the 1st interaction kind of unintuitive as a 1st puzzle and also a bit difficult (I think we just suck at the skill it required). Once this gimmick is done the game does fall off. The next few puzzles are really cool technologically and continue to use the small space very well, but they’re really repetitive. And after these few puzzles you get to my least favorite part, mostly because it’s actually what I was expecting from the title, and that’s just less interesting. I feel like I would have enjoyed the game more if it fully committed to that 1st section or even was shortened to just that section (I never thought I’ld want a game to be a 30-45 minute game, what the heck). But the lamer 2nd half should not discourage you from trying such a weird and oddly immersive early game. If you’re willing to play into this weird gimmick (still don’t want to spoil it), go for it. This room was so funny. As a group of 4 cat people, we really felt connected to this theme. I love the way this room started. The space was tight, but because of how the game flow was designed, the room felt so much bigger. They found very creative ways to use the entire space.

The premise of Classified is that you are are an agent trying to stop a major catastrophe, and that’s the most normal thing about it before it goes completely off-rails in the silliest possible way. I loved the direction this room went, and it was pawsitively purrfect every step of the way! There are unique challenges and minigames throughout that somehow make the smallish room feel much bigger than it is. This room is crazy, and should just be experienced to be believed. Meow wow!
