Rating: 5/5 Wow, I've never had so much fun in room. The live actor was there almost the entire time and was awesome, she was the highlight of the entire experience. It was overall so immersive and I love that we had to do some role-playing. It was just the right amount of scariness for me, we weren't so paralyzed with fear that we couldn't solve puzzles, it was less scary than a haunted house. We played as team of 2 which was fine but maybe 1 more person would've been better. We also played their Help Wanted and Dark Lullaby rooms at their other location. Starlight and Dark Lullaby were our favorites, but it's hard to pick which one is better because they have different strengths. Starlight is more classic horror and the interactions with the actor were more fun. Dark Lullaby is more psychological horror and the set felt more high tech.

Rating: 5/5 LOVED the immersion and the detailed set with tons of tech, special effects, and surprises. The experience starts from the lobby and even explanation of the rules does not take away from the immersion. The transition to the dream world was interesting and unique. We played as a team of 2 and definitely could've used 1 or 2 more people though we still made it with time to spare. The actors were so much fun and added to the immersion with lots of scary moments, they were the highlight of the room but were not in there the whole time. I love that the room felt much like an interactive haunted house. Between this room, Help Wanted, and Starlight Motel, Starlight and Dark Lullaby were our favorites, but it's hard to pick which one is better because they have different strengths. Rating: 4.5/5 I get why this room is so highly rated, if you love puzzles, you'll love this room. This is a great example of a room that does everything well: -Great looking set with great audio and lighting -Puzzles were particularly well designed, they were fun, varied, and fit the theme -Fun, unique use of a prop to solve puzzles -No padlocks or number puzzles -Seamless use of technology -Not too easy or too hard, puzzles took a bit to understand but once you did they were very satisfying -Fun narrative/story with cute elements -Good immersion -Great flow -It was clear when items were needed so you didn't waste time solving things that weren't ready yet -Intro and ending videos were cute and done well There really aren't any significant cons but after doing nearly 100 rooms, there aren't specific things that wowed me nor is there anything particularly unique. For me, it would be even better if there was more teamwork required, cooler reveals, and more exploration and things to discover. The set was high quality but the layout was a bit uninteresting to me since they were just regular rectangular rooms with nice decorations, I prefer the transformative sets at other rooms like The Attraction or Robotopia. We played with 3 experienced enthusiasts (paid for 4) and did not have any problems. I would recommend playing the minimum of 4 as there aren't a ton of things to do at the same time.

Rating: 5/5 This room is now my favorite out of around 100 rooms, I absolutely loved it! It's exactly what I want out of an escape room: -Quirky sci-fi theme -Great quality set and props with fun easter eggs and foreshadowing -Highly immersive -The set was transformative with great re-use of space -Some crawling and climbing -An actor used in a really fun way, our entire team was laughing -Very high tech with only a single padlock, but the way the key was found was cool -Lots of opportunities for teamwork -Varied puzzles that fit the theme well, the right amount of difficulty -Fun narrative with a 3 act structure -Fairly climactic ending -Some cool reveals -Game was almost 2 hours but I was having so much fun the time went by so fast Minor nitpicks: -Too many memory puzzles but they weren't too difficult if you worked together -My team got stuck on a puzzle at the end and lost our momentum, it wasn't well clued and the layout of the room made one part hidden. The GM told us this puzzle was optional and we only received it because we were doing well on time. -Walkie talkie required to ask for hints I'd recommend going with 4-5, 6 might feel a bit crowded. The room is probably playable with 2 if necessary but it might be difficult.

Rating: 4.5/5 This room is chaos, but in a good way! It's not a traditional escape room, it is completely non-linear since almost all puzzles are available from the start. There are 26 recipes to create in a set amount of time. Pros: -A must play for Overcooked video game fans -Tons of variety of puzzles -Team work and communication required -Lots of tech, only a few padlocks -Great props and set -The chaos replicates the feeling of being in a real kitchen Things that could've been better: -This room is not for you if you want high immersion, strong narrative, or exploration, for that, play Robotopia -The large screen in the room froze and the audio stopped working. This didn't affect our ability to enter recipes though -Entering recipes got a bit tedious towards the end, would prefer if there was a more interesting way to create recipes that doesn't involve entering 3 digit numbers on an iPad -Some puzzles weren't that fun, I'd prefer quality over quantity. Fewer recipes but make them more involved and more fun -No major big reveals or "wow" moments My team of 5 with mixed experience levels solved 20 out of 26 recipes. I feel like it could work well anywhere along the 3-6 range, but more people means more chaos. It might be a bit overwhelming for 2 people.

Rating 4.5/5 Wonderful room, loved the storyline and flow. Puzzles were interesting and not too easy, it was a bit challenging as a team of 2.There is high immersion and good interactions with the actor. I understand why this room gets so much praise. However, if you're looking for place with huge expansive sets, crazy reveals, and futuristic tech, this is not that type of room.

Rating: 5/5 Played this room and Tomb Raiders as a team of 3 (I'd recommend 3-4) and we love them both and had a blast. Teleporter Trials is definitely in my top 5 rooms out of ~70 at the time of this review. I loved that this room had creative puzzles, a cute story, and lots of cool/fun tech, and no padlocks. It also had a funny ending that put a different perspective on the puzzles. The teleportation effect is very cool and unique, I was amazed because it had theme park vibes. The owners were also super friendly and enthusiastic. I can't really think of anything that I disliked about this room. Between this and Tomb Raider, I preferred this one because it had funnier moments and was a lot more unique because of the teleportation.

Rating: 4.5/5 Awesome room, the set looks amazing and is very immersive, it feels theme park quality. The progression was fun from beginning to end. I enjoyed most of the puzzles and like how they all fit the theme, no random, out of place padlocks. There are a lot of pattern, symbol, and physical manipulation puzzles which makes sense in an old temple. The room is filled with tech but it's seamlessly integrated so that nothing feels out of place. The only issue I had was that the audio during the opening scene was jumbled as if the speaker was malfunctioning. The room is playable with 2 people as long as you're experienced, though I'd recommend 3-4. The room is fairly linear. I've updated this review in 2024 after playing almost all of TEG's rooms at several locations, here is my personal ranking from best to least favorite: 1. Cosmic Crisis 2. Ruins: Forbidden Treasure 3. Playground 4. Timeliner: Train Through Time 5. Prison Break 6. The Depths 7. Special Ops: Mysterious Market 8. Gold Rush 9. The Heist 10. Mission Mars

Rating: 5/5 This is one of my favorite rooms of all time (80+ rooms). It's clear the owners are passionate, great story tellers, and talented set designers. There is so much immersion here, every single object you see or touch fits the theme. I loved that there's lots of cool tech, very few locks, and a fun interaction with a live actor. The progression of the room from start to finish is great, it really felt like we were going on a true dungeon quest. I won't spoil the ending, but it was VERY climactic and interactive, my group was yelling and laughing with excitement. I ended up playing this room twice and there are so many interesting details in the room that I loved it the 2nd time too. The game masters at CU Adventures are super friendly and fun too. The room is an absolute must-play if you love D&D, and even if you don't like D&D you'll still have a great time! I'd recommend around 4-6 players. I love all of CU Adventure's rooms, my ranking starting with my favorite: Game Night Rise of Icarus Revenge of the Cabin Wizard's Curse Calling All Villains Scrooge's Christmas Trap

Rating: 4/5 Wow, what an impressive set for a small town room, even better than a lot of bigger budget chain rooms. So many cool elements and reveals in there, we had a lot of fun. The puzzles were fairly easy for our team of 2 and they were a mix of padlocks and tech. The room isn't scary but it's dark in areas but the provided lanterns were good enough. It's a good 2 person room, the game is a bit linear so I would recommend maybe 2-3 enthusiasts, definitely not more than 4. GMs were all very helpful and friendly. This room and the 90s room are must-play rooms in the St Louis area. 2025 Update: Between this, 90s, and Lost Souls it's hard to pick a favorite. Sasquatch has easier puzzles and the set had cooler reveals. The 90s room has more enjoyable references and a more fun story that made you feel like a kid again. Lost Souls is more atmospheric with cooler tech, but it's harder and creepier (which can be good or bad depending on what you want).

Rating 3.5/5 - Weird narrative but impressive Rube Goldberg machine/puzzle Pros: - The Rube Goldberg machine was built into the set and was very big and with some interesting interactions -Multiple floors (with spiral staircase) and rooms to explore -Lots of tech with some mechanical puzzles and a few padlocks -Friendly and helpful GM -Set looked good Mixed feelings: -The narrative was a bit weird and convoluted Cons: --No writing pad provided, you have to use your phone and many puzzles are easier if you take notes EDIT: In response to the owner's comment about vandalism, they can easily just provide inexpensive electronic Boogie Boards which many other escape room companies are doing now. I played this solo but I wish I had some help, I'd recommend 2-4 players. March 2025 Update: My ranking of the rooms here I've played starting with my favorite: 1. Ghost Town - Rating: 4.5/5 2. Hello! Similar to your Shock & Awe review, our only comment is this: -Due to groups commonly using our provided markers and pens to vandalize the games (drawing and writing out codes or personal notes on in-game props and sheets) we do not provide writing pads or pens / markers anymore. So we just tell groups they can use the notes in their phones if needed in the spiel. Thanks for coming out to play and for the thumbs up!
