Very cool vibes, sounds, setwork, and puzzles. Anything we ended up needing hints on in hindsight would have been logical (if hard) to figure out had we had more than 2 people :) recommend 4 experienced escapers or 6 less experienced. Very cool experience :)

Setwise, The Storykeeper was good (and a clear step up from Vanishing Act). Locurio is located in a converted residential building, and it seemed like they weren't allowed to make major modifications to the walls, leading to the awkward feeling of being in a room that, while nicely decorated, was ultimately just one you might find at home. If they were able to modify the walls, I think that would tip it over to a great set for me. There were some spots where lighting could have been better. The set seemed to be in good condition - I wouldn't have guessed that this game had been around for so long. The high point of the game for me was the GM/actor - his character was great, and helped elevate the unusual plot. Creating a compelling story seems to be Locurio's strength as a company. Spacewise, 3 players felt like a good number for Storykeeper. The space felt a little smaller (or at least more occupied) than Vanishing Act, so I don't think I'd want to go above 4. While still parallelizable, it's not as much as in Vanishing Act, and I think 2 decent players would have a good time. Puzzlewise, most things seemed good, but there could have been better signposting in a few spots. I could see one puzzle potentially being problematic for people who don't have a particular background, as I didn't see anything in-game which would have indicated what we needed to know if we hadn't already known it. Another puzzle seemed to have no indication about the intended interaction method - while there was feedback, it was subtle and as far as we could tell, unclued in-game.

The plot was unusual, and the GM/actor was critical in selling the story.

Midway through the game, a player will have to kneel to gather information; another puzzle probably requires kneeling for proper access. The entire team has to crawl near the end of the game, though this is probably avoidable if necessary.

A little harder than most escape rooms, Locurio is tucked away in a converted residential building

It wasn't too hard to find street parking, but I could imagine it being occasionally difficult

Very very cool room. Immersive is an understatement. Some of the puzzles we really struggled with and spent too much time on, but felt we goofy when we finally figured it out. This room is one that Iβll always remember. Played with 2 people and it was manageable

Great puzzles that achieve a rare feat of requiring nearly no written words or instructions.

A fantastical fairy tale adventure! π§ββοΈπ Been hoping to play this for years and it was worth it! Seriously one of the best games in the Pacific Northwest. Very good puzzles, flow and decor. Creative, in universe way of delivering the story and hint system. Canβt wait to come back for their new room and location! I played room #200 here in the same visit and they went above and beyond making it an extra special experience!

What a fantastic room!! The set design was really awesome and, as the name would imply, the storytelling was great! Awesome mix of puzzles and props and unique challenges. This one was super fun and a must do!

This puzzle room was an absolute joy to experience. The live actors go above and beyond a simple script to help set the tone and are a key part of what makes this room special. Puzzles were well thought out and the storybook props / atmosphere were truly magical, immersive, and very high production. The hint system is via an iPad and clues felt custom tailored without detracting from the immersion. We accidentally βbrokeβ one of the mechanisms and cheesed our way past a critical puzzle, but it didnβt interrupt the play. I wish Locurio could make a whole world of different puzzle rooms built off this premiseβ I will be sure to try and come back to play Vanishing Act!

The atmosphere was immersive, and the hints were very thematic throughout. We really liked how the set pieces brought you into the narrative. The puzzles felt challenging but not unreasonably so, and it was interesting how they involved the use of teamwork.
