Christmas Movie MagicPier Presssure - Trafalgar LaneEscape roomIRLAnother great room from pier pressure. Really fun room themed around Christmas films and made reference to all of our favourites! Some really fun puzzles, some trickier than others but all really enjoyable! It’s definitely one families could give a go but I imagine the parents will need to get involved in some of the harder puzzles. The host was amazing and really added to the fun of the room.
The Lucky EscapePier Pressure - Newhaven FortEscape roomIRLReally fun room which throws you into the 1970s with the decor and props. The games flowed really well and we didn’t really have any down time when we weren’t all working on something. As well as some more challenging puzzles (the games master said they have options for a couple of things but gave us the harder choices as we’d done their other rooms) but also some really nice simple traditional escape room style puzzles which is great for the feeling of progression and feeling like you’re achieving a lot. As with all of Pier pressures rooms it’s really well built and run too, I wish they had more rooms as they are probably our favourites!
Glitch Hunters [Outdoor]Pier PressureEscape roomIRLA really fun way to explore Brighton. I live here but the way you navigate (I won’t spoil how it works) is really fun even for a local who knows the area well. My team members aren’t from Brighton and they loved that they saw bits of the city they may not have seen otherwise. The puzzles were solved on your phone based on buildings and landmarks around the city, you can add multiple phones so you’re not all huddled around one. I wouldn’t say it’s as challenging as an escape room and would probably be a great one to do as a family and get kids involved.
Into The ReliquaryDarkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room, was our favourite at dark master for sure. I won’t give away spoilers but there are a couple of elements that are really different and fun, one that will hopefully take you by surprise a little bit. Out of all the rooms I would say this is most suited to families. This room does have a couple of slightly more physical elements but nothing the average person should struggle with but worth noting if you have mobility issues, but not everyone in the group will need to do those parts.
Onewing AirlinesDarkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe theming with the aeroplane was amazing and made for a great atmosphere. There are some fun puzzles to solve on the way through. We can’t put our finger on why but for us it wasn’t one of our favourites so we decided on the thumbs up instead of the heart but I would still reccomend giving it a try
Station 108Darkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe effects in this room were amazing, some really cool immersive things but I won’t say any more as don’t want to give anything away. As much as we loved the effects we didn’t particularly enjoy the puzzles or flow of the room, there were a lot of “what now” moments which we haven’t had with most rooms we’ve done. We also found with this room more than others there was only one thing that could be done at a time so while one or two people were working on the puzzle the others had to just watch The experience was still great so I would give it a go if you’re visiting dark master but I would recommend one wing and reliquary first
Temple QuestClue CrackerEscape roomIRLReally fun room with great theming. A bit more of a physical room but still with some more traditional puzzle elements. You can really appreciate that they’ve spent a lot of money and effort on this room, we all really enjoyed it. I would recommend all of the clue cracker rooms.
The Diamond DogsClue CrackerEscape roomIRLReally enjoyably room with some really fun puzzles, we felt like we did some parts really quickly but a few things took us a while to find, we often get too sucked into to puzzles and forget to just look around. We did escape but only just in time with seconds to spare! As with all the clue cracker rooms the theming and design was great
Bewilder Box: Judgement D.A.V.EBewilder Box Escape Rooms Brighton: Judgement D.A.V.E. @ The BrunswickEscape roomIRLWe really enjoyed this room, the theming was great and some of the puzzles were really fun and interesting. We loved both rooms at bewilderbox but this was our favourite. A few puzzles required teamwork and couldn’t be don’t by just one person which we always find fun
The Bewilder Box InitiativeBewilder Box Escape Rooms Brighton: Judgement D.A.V.E. @ The BrunswickEscape roomIRLGreat escape room with a few puzzles which we hadn’t seen before, was a mechanical based room with a lot of padlocks to unlock. We escaped but only with about 5 mins to spare
