I was a little nervous to do this one as I know it’s meant to be one of the hardest around but we really enjoyed it! We did a 90 minute game which i would definitely recommend, usually we are a team of 3 but thankfully had a 4th member join us today as there was a lot to do, even though he isn’t experienced with escape rooms he was a great help The puzzles themselves were really good, a nice variety of things to solve, some we all worked on and other times we would split into pairs. We got out with 1m25s left so cutting it fine but there were a couple of puzzles we definitely could have solved faster. If you’re like I was and unsure if this room will be too hard i’d say give it a go but do a 90 minute.

Really fun room which throws you into the 1970s with the decor and props. The games flowed really well and we didn’t really have any down time when we weren’t all working on something. As well as some more challenging puzzles (the games master said they have options for a couple of things but gave us the harder choices as we’d done their other rooms) but also some really nice simple traditional escape room style puzzles which is great for the feeling of progression and feeling like you’re achieving a lot. As with all of Pier pressures rooms it’s really well built and run too, I wish they had more rooms as they are probably our favourites!

A really fun way to explore Brighton. I live here but the way you navigate (I won’t spoil how it works) is really fun even for a local who knows the area well. My team members aren’t from Brighton and they loved that they saw bits of the city they may not have seen otherwise. The puzzles were solved on your phone based on buildings and landmarks around the city, you can add multiple phones so you’re not all huddled around one. I wouldn’t say it’s as challenging as an escape room and would probably be a great one to do as a family and get kids involved.

This was our last of the hounds rooms and experiences which is sad as we enjoyed them all a lot. You can tell they put a lot of effort (and money) into the theming / decor of the rooms. This room seams to grow as you go through and there are lots of new things to discover to go along with the story along with a lot of puzzles to solve. I forgot to review this straight away so don’t remember all the puzzles but the ones I do remember were really fun. We found all the hounds rooms a nice level of difficulty, they challenged us but we never felt like we didn’t know what to do or what the puzzle was supposed to be.

Really enjoyed this room, was our favourite at dark master for sure. I won’t give away spoilers but there are a couple of elements that are really different and fun, one that will hopefully take you by surprise a little bit. Out of all the rooms I would say this is most suited to families. This room does have a couple of slightly more physical elements but nothing the average person should struggle with but worth noting if you have mobility issues, but not everyone in the group will need to do those parts.

The effects in this room were amazing, some really cool immersive things but I won’t say any more as don’t want to give anything away. As much as we loved the effects we didn’t particularly enjoy the puzzles or flow of the room, there were a lot of “what now” moments which we haven’t had with most rooms we’ve done. We also found with this room more than others there was only one thing that could be done at a time so while one or two people were working on the puzzle the others had to just watch The experience was still great so I would give it a go if you’re visiting dark master but I would recommend one wing and reliquary first

Not an escape room but still had some escape room style puzzles. We were quite apprehensive at first as we normal go for more traditional escape rooms but we all enjoyed it. The actress we had was amazing and told the story really well and the theming and props were unbelievable, you can tell they have spent a lot of time money making things as authentic as possible. It can be a little jumpy / scary but that’s not the main focus of the experience and I think most adults would be absolutely fine with it all
