Christmas Movie MagicPier Presssure - Trafalgar LaneEscape roomIRLAnother great room from pier pressure. Really fun room themed around Christmas films and made reference to all of our favourites! Some really fun puzzles, some trickier than others but all really enjoyable! It’s definitely one families could give a go but I imagine the parents will need to get involved in some of the harder puzzles. The host was amazing and really added to the fun of the room.
The Lucky EscapePier Pressure - Newhaven FortEscape roomIRLReally fun room which throws you into the 1970s with the decor and props. The games flowed really well and we didn’t really have any down time when we weren’t all working on something. As well as some more challenging puzzles (the games master said they have options for a couple of things but gave us the harder choices as we’d done their other rooms) but also some really nice simple traditional escape room style puzzles which is great for the feeling of progression and feeling like you’re achieving a lot. As with all of Pier pressures rooms it’s really well built and run too, I wish they had more rooms as they are probably our favourites!
Jail BreakClue CrackerEscape roomIRLI loved this room! The set was done so well and it really felt immersive. It was mostly a very mechanical game with a lot of locks to open which I personally really enjoy, the game also works in a linear way which I prefer. We went over by 2 minutes annoyingly but they allowed us to escape as I guess they could see how close we were. Quinn who ran the game for us was great, really friendly!
Glitch Hunters [Outdoor]Pier PressureEscape roomIRLA really fun way to explore Brighton. I live here but the way you navigate (I won’t spoil how it works) is really fun even for a local who knows the area well. My team members aren’t from Brighton and they loved that they saw bits of the city they may not have seen otherwise. The puzzles were solved on your phone based on buildings and landmarks around the city, you can add multiple phones so you’re not all huddled around one. I wouldn’t say it’s as challenging as an escape room and would probably be a great one to do as a family and get kids involved.
Questionable Ethics (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther Really fun room which some cool theming which really immerses you from the start. Some of the puzzles require teamwork which I always find fun in escape rooms. The hosts are brilliant at the pre and post room chat and really get into the character accents and all. I stupidly forgot to review this straight after so can’t remember all the puzzles now but the ones I do remember were great fun and I know we all enjoyed it!
Southern Dis-Comfort (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther This was our last of the hounds rooms and experiences which is sad as we enjoyed them all a lot. You can tell they put a lot of effort (and money) into the theming / decor of the rooms. This room seams to grow as you go through and there are lots of new things to discover to go along with the story along with a lot of puzzles to solve. I forgot to review this straight away so don’t remember all the puzzles but the ones I do remember were really fun. We found all the hounds rooms a nice level of difficulty, they challenged us but we never felt like we didn’t know what to do or what the puzzle was supposed to be.
Into The ReliquaryDarkmaster Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLReally enjoyed this room, was our favourite at dark master for sure. I won’t give away spoilers but there are a couple of elements that are really different and fun, one that will hopefully take you by surprise a little bit. Out of all the rooms I would say this is most suited to families. This room does have a couple of slightly more physical elements but nothing the average person should struggle with but worth noting if you have mobility issues, but not everyone in the group will need to do those parts.
The Explorer's Diary (Mission)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther Really enjoyable room with a lot of different elements, and parts to it. Some of the puzzles are very traditional but others were quite unique and things we’d not seen before which is always fun! It wasn’t the most challenging room we’ve done but it had a lot of things to get through so kept us nice and busy! The host was great and threw you into the story too!
The Acid Bath Murderer (Live Experience)Hounds - Immersive ExperiencesEscape roomOther Not an escape room but still had some escape room style puzzles. We were quite apprehensive at first as we normal go for more traditional escape rooms but we all enjoyed it. The actress we had was amazing and told the story really well and the theming and props were unbelievable, you can tell they have spent a lot of time money making things as authentic as possible. It can be a little jumpy / scary but that’s not the main focus of the experience and I think most adults would be absolutely fine with it all
Temple QuestClue CrackerEscape roomIRLReally fun room with great theming. A bit more of a physical room but still with some more traditional puzzle elements. You can really appreciate that they’ve spent a lot of money and effort on this room, we all really enjoyed it. I would recommend all of the clue cracker rooms.
