I really enjoyed this game and the details throughout the experience. Our gamemaster, Charles (Great at Sudokus), had a great sense of humor and really made it fun. There was a wide variety of puzzles to solve and some things I hadn't seen yet in my 9 years of playing games. Keep it up Jonathan and Company!

This game throws a massive wrench in the common belief that single room games are not "good". This was an amazing game and I am really glad I got the chance to play it.

This experience will hit you in the "feels". I can see how doing it by yourself would be even more somber and powerful. If you can, experience it in that manner. Take your time, this is not an "escape". Live in the moment during any audio (don't try to solve puzzles while listening to a cassette).
Statesville Haunted Prison

Haunted house
Statesville Prison was the Rock-N-Roll of Haunted attractions. It was intense, terrifying, and a real trip. The actors were simultaneously scary, funny and quick witted. The queue line actors really helped to pass the time and there were staples like Fluffy you could see every year that just really added to the "muchness" that was Statesville. If you didn't get to visit before the Prison closed, the inmates escaped and moved into Hellsgate so you can find them there. As a postscript, I had the awesome opportunity to visit one October and act for a weekend at Statesville and City of the Dead and not only was the attraction amazing because of its set design and costuming but the people that made the magic possible were just the most welcoming and amazing people you can ever meet. It was such a collaborative environment where actors were sharing tips to elicit better scares and emotions from the guests. They really care about their craft and safety and making sure everyone has a great time.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Hellsgate at least 5 times and it gets better every single year. The interior is beautifully done from hardwood floors to crown molding. It is everything a haunted house should be. The actors are just amazing, its not a bunch of "Get out!"s or random snarls, there is thought behind the action and dialogue. The queue line actors are always the fun to interact with and will keep you entertained until you enter the mansion. It is a challenge to not just marvel at the beauty of this evil old mansion as you meander the various rooms but the entities within will keep you on your toes.

Haunted trail
Haunted Overload is very unique in design compared to most haunted attractions because they use real lumber from the forests to make their sculptures throughout the attraction. There is nothing like turning a corner and seeing a several story tall scarecrow with a fiery Jack-O-Lantern for a head. In the queue area there a hundreds of carved glowing pumpkins and it is a sight to behold. Even their safety video is awesome, I laughed so hard as they demonstrate what will happen to rule breakers in the video.
The Game Room

We played this game as part of the HAA Escape Room Tour in New Orleans and my team had a great time with this game and pulled off a victory in the last few minutes. The set design was that of a mansion's game room (dead animals, not board games). Puzzles were decent and we left the game excited about our next game for the night which would be the serial killer lair.
The Feeding: Blood Thirsty
Headless Horseman

Haunted house
The Headless Horseman haunted attraction in upstate New York is EPIC. I had wanted to go for years so I flew to NYC, took the train to Tarrytown, rented a car in Sleepy Hollow (fitting), and then drove the 70 miles to Ulster Park to experience these attractions. It was well worth the trip. On arrival you will find a veritable Halloween village where you can buy snacks and fall themed beverages. There is also shops selling all sorts of cool Halloween knick-knackery. It was awesome. Candy apples, cider and Frito chili pie? Sign me up. Once you make it through the gauntlet of amazing merch and swag you will find the attractions. Start with the Hayride which is a lot of fun. They have hosts on each ride that narrate the action and ours was hilarious. After they hayride just keep knocking out the attractions while taking bathroom and snack breaks as needed.
