Der Spielzeugmacher [Toy Maker]
Big Break Hamburg
Escape room
IRL
Wow what a room - I'm blown away by this experience. I was laughing and giggling throughout the room, was excited and challenged. Really nice set building, transitions, riddled and one thing that leads you through. By far my favorite room since I played - must do in Hamburg.
Paradox Project 2: Το Βιβλιοπωλείον [The Bookstore]
Paradox Project
Escape room

After playing the mansion, we had an idea of what to expect but this room still completely blew our mind. 3h 20 with two people feels like a lot of time but it flowed along so well, that you'd never want it to end. Detailed rooms, interesting transitions, very cool ideas and the first room that actually got me sea-sick. As with the other Paradox rooms, the game starts immediately when you arrive, so there's no interaction with a game master other than via smartphone if needed (the hint system). One of the best rooms in the world I played.

Phantom Peak is not really a classical Escape Room. The place has both inside and outside parts and is built like a small, quirky city with shops and stores, brought to live by multiple inhabitants. You visit the city in timed slots, that are 4-5 hours long together with roughly 50 other people. Once in, there's Theater, challenges and sprinkled all over the place "storylines" that you can discover. The riddles are basically walking through the city and finding things, sometimes interactions with inhabitants are needed. Successfully ending a storyline, might have an impact on things that are happening in the city. There's food trucks or stalls inside as well, so the Timeslot is not at all too long. Very very good experience, great actors.

By far, one of the best rooms I played so far. It's less a typical escape room and more an interactive experience with fantastic work from the live actor(s). The story is a little crazy and for sure quirky, but flows nicely and has a relaxed but intense pace at the same time. You really feel immersed and captured in the moment.
Der Zauberer [The Wizard]
EscapeGame Munich
Escape room
IRL
Linear and very technical room, atmospheric and well executed. Suitable for beginners and groups up to 6.
Zentralbank [Central Bank]
Fox In A Box Munchen
Escape room
IRL
A solid "heist" room, with middle difficulty and some cool ideas. Nothing fancy, good for beginners and nicely themed, but for my taste a little bit too linear.
Taphephobia
Unlock Escape [prev. Getaway Live Quest Munich]
Escape room
IRL
Scary but not too scary. It's exactly what it says it is, being caught in a coffin and trying to get out.

The idea itself is very unique: instead of an escape room, you have a full city to explore, there are actors to interact with, there are riddles everywhere and you feel like being transformed into the 1920s... Unless... All of this did not really work for us. Yes, the location has this very nice set in which you can move and roam. Guests are encouraged to dress up but most of them don't and it's simply too many people to get a feeling of immersion. The mission itself consists of interaction with 1-2 of the actors and the interaction themselves are rather low-level. The difficulty of the mission is definitely not on an escape room level but more on an "interactive walkthrough", which made us finish in less than 30 minutes (out of 60). Some good ideas, but the realization lacks consistency, talent/motivation (actors) and immersion. All of this worked a lot better for me in e.g. Phantom Peak (immersion wise).
