My HomeINBLACK Escape Room - North YorkEscape roomIRLWe recently tried My Home, and although it wasn’t my first escape room with a live actor, it was definitely a memorable experience. The story, setup, and puzzles were all very well designed, and our actress Yulie delivered an excellent performance. The puzzles were not overly difficult—there was one that felt a bit confusing, but depending on how you interpret it, you might not struggle with it—and there were a few well-placed jump scares throughout. There is some intense strobe lighting that can leave you momentarily blinded, so if you have epilepsy, it’s a good idea to call ahead and ask about it. Most of the instruction cards and props come in both English and Chinese, and the instructions are also read aloud through the speakers. Overall, it was a really fun experience, and I’d definitely come back!

The atmosphere, sound design, and jump scares were next-level — it genuinely felt like stepping into a real horror film. The puzzles were smartly designed and tied seamlessly into the theme, so everything made sense instead of feeling random. The staff’s commitment to their roles was both chilling and hilarious once we finally escaped. If you’re into horror, thrills, and brain-teasing challenges, this is an absolute must. I screamed, laughed, and strategized my way through — hands down a 10/10 experience!

The Arabian-inspired setting is beautifully designed, and from the moment you step inside, you really feel immersed in a magical, mystical world. The set design is incredibly detailed, and the moving walls add a strong sense of magic and surprise, making the experience even more exciting. This room is very kid-friendly, with no scary elements, making it perfect for families while still being engaging for adults. The puzzles are cleverly designed, allowing multiple challenges to be solved simultaneously, which is great for teamwork and keeps everyone involved throughout the game. Additionally, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the overall experience even better. Highly recommend Astrologer for anyone looking for an immersive, magical, and well-designed escape room experience!
