Operation DiveExit Escape Room MiamiEscape roomIRLThis was a surprisingly cool room! So many pieces to this escape room were used to immerse you in the experience of a submarine battle ship. A lot of the puzzles were a bit tattered, but everything worked ok it seemed like. Our GM was enthusiastic and the owner was so kind enough to let my husband and I store our luggage in their control room for a bit before we jetted back to the other side of the country! Another different thing about this escape room is that they let you record and take pictures of your game!
Crash LandingEscappe Room PR - FortalezaEscape roomIRLThe initial impression when you walk in is pretty cool - you actually feel like you're in an airplane. But once you start digging around, you realize how poorly set up the puzzles are. The puzzles did not flow much at all. We killed so much time trying to figure out what to do next and also searching through every little crevice of the room which you only have 45 minutes to escape the room rather than 60, so use your time wisely. It was also so dark... The flashlights they gave us were so dim especially for the next room... Would've recommend this room, but it looked cool initially.
Three KingdomsClockwise Escape Room - PleasantonEscape roomIRLThis was a fun game that transported you into into a different time period. I felt that most puzzles were intuitive to figure out, but at times there were some that required a nudge. Definitely liked this one though! It was very hands on.
Atlantis: The Forgotten CityHypnotic Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis was a room full of surprises. Started out pretty simple, but just kept on going with unexpected puzzles. The production value was nicely done and the puzzles were neat. Some puzzles required a nudge, but overall my team was able to breeze through it. This was a fun one!
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - OrangeEscape roomIRLThis was the newest room at The Escape Game, and the newest location in SoCal as of recently. Being that this room is based in "space", the puzzles were a bit more high tech. This is also one of their harder rooms, so some puzzles required a little more thought - though not too difficult when you actually find what correlates to your next puzzles. This one was also not exactly linear, so you didn't need to entirely find everything in order. Enjoyed the gameplay! I only did this with my husband, and we got through this fairly quickly.
HostageEDscapade GamesEscape roomIRLThis room had unique elements to try and immerse you into the story before going into the room. The game itself was cute, but required a lot of hand-holding for my team unfortunately. I wouldn't say that this room is particularly intuitive because there were a lot of "side quests" you could tackle that drove us away from the main storyline. Our GM was so cute though that we just let her guide us most of the way - she was very encouraging, but ended up helping us like 75% of the game T.T I'd say this room is probably more fun with at least 3 or 4 people on the team!
Montauk ProjectMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLStarts out innocently and gets a little "strange" later. I would say these puzzles really aren't too difficult. Breezed through the first two rooms pretty easily, and got stuck a bit on the last room which ruined our flow. Loved the stranger things theme and how similarly they tried to tie in the series. The puzzles didn't require too much thinking in my opinion, but I enjoyed how they presented the puzzles for you to figure out. All-in-all, cute theme and fun puzzles. The last room just felt like it needed some help because a lot of the puzzles needed some guidance..

Treasure IslandBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLLoved the atmosphere and the immersive puzzles. The puzzles were not your typical locks and key type puzzles, which was refreshing! Would totally recommend this. The puzzles are for the most part non-linear, so larger groups can work on multiple puzzles. The theme was super cute, though my fiance and I felt that the puzzles were not always satisfying. At some points, we felt the GM pushed us along a little too much, but if he didn't, we may not have finished in time. By the way, there's no way to tell how much time you have left either. Try this room if you can! Totally worth it. Can't wait to go back and try the other rooms!
The Father of Silicon ValleyBreakout StudiosEscape roomIRLAlways enjoy the workers' enthusiasm starting the game off. We started off the game looking silly completely missing something in front of our eyes, but once we got through that, we were able to get through the puzzles fairly ok. There is definitely some thought that is much needed behind these puzzles. One thing that was a struggle for us was that not everything is intuitive. But overall the room was fun and not too tough for a group of two.
