13th Basement
Exit Game OC - Anaheim
Escape room
IRL
What a fun room. Horror rooms are not my thing, but I absolutely loved this satirical horror escape. I agree with others that it could have benefited from a few more puzzles to make it a bit longer, but I enjoyed every puzzle we solved. The attention to detail in this game is truly next-level.
40 Thieves
MindTrap Escape Room - Temecula

The production value in this room is absolutely stellar. Super satisfying gameplay. Such a great use of space. Definitely jumped to my Top 5

What a gorgeous escape room. So many cool features. Puzzles are fairly straightforward, but there are some really delightful out-of-the-box elements.
Avalanche
Maze Rooms - Robertson Blvd
Escape room

The storyline makes zero sense, but the production value is astounding. And all of the puzzles are very satisfying.
Black and White Cafe
MindFox Escape
Escape room

The puzzling in this room is really excellent. Lots of variety and layering to really get your brain going. Nonlinear room with plenty to do to keep a party of 4 on their toes. The flow is a bit inconsistent with the number of puzzles per objective, but overall we had a blast.

The start of this game was super immersive and fun in a surprising way. Very nonlinear with a good variety of puzzles. Plenty to do to keep a group busy.
Break Room Breakout
Escape Astoria

We had a blast with this indie room. It’s a single room and fully analog- combo locks, key locks, etc. There was great variety in the puzzles. Nothing too complicated, but we definitely got tripped up here and there. We were fully engaged the entire time. There’s a lot of hunting and finding. Nothing mind-blowing but we thought it was a really solid room with something that played to each of our team strengths. The owner is also absolutely delightful and really passionate about creating a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.
Da Vinci's Secret
60Out - Hollywood
Escape room
IRL
Can confidently say this is the best 60Out room we’ve played. Really fun flow, more twists and turns than we expected, and it was so nice to have sound notifications for every successful puzzle solution. We always knew where to look next, which is not always the case in such tech-heavy rooms.
Doctor Psycho
60Out - Hollywood

I enjoyed this room way more than I expected. I typically don’t like bloody/scary rooms, and while this one was pretty gory, it wasn’t super scary. Our GM Chandler was excellent- very welcoming, and added ambiance. As two enthusiasts, we made it out in under 30, and we enjoyed every moment.
Doctor Who: A Dalek Awakens
Escape Hunt - London Oxford Street
Escape room
IRL
Very technical, and not always logical. But a fun room for Doctor Who fans (and Doctor Who fan supporters). Also the location in the Battle Bar is so fun- we ended up playing a ridiculous game of mini golf after and having a blast.
