We loved this from beginning to end, there were lots of pleasant / fun surprises along the way in this boring office. The first room was so unique, we'd never seen a puzzle like this and it was a true delight to figure it out.
Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - LynnfieldEscape roomIRLAnother wonderful and highly immersive game at The Escape Game. We have always enjoyed the games here and look forward to finding new locations and newer games on our travels. We visited today to do Ruins and Cosmic Crisis to finish up the games here. Ruins has absolutely gorgeous decor. A couple of the puzzles were tough for the two of us, we did end up getting stuck in a couple spots and needing to ask for a couple of hints. There were elements here we haven't seen in any other rooms yet, so that was great. All around a great room that stumped even us enthusiasts a bit.
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - LynnfieldEscape roomIRLFirst and foremost, I'd like to say the customer service at every location has been top knotch for the escape game, but this place took the cake. We played two games here today and this was our favorite of the two. The puzzles flowed very nicely, and though at some points we thought we were stuck, it didn't take us too long to figure out what came next. Our team of two needed one small nudge along the way, but that's only because I didn't complete my part of the puzzle correctly to trigger the reaction on something, so we were nudged to circle back. By the time we got to one big puzzle element, it was closer to lunch time and we'd done back to back rooms so we were a bit hangry, but with a little bit of teamwork we made it through with a good amount of time to spare. Loved this room, along with every other room we've done at the escape game. (To note, we specifically seek out times where we can play alone, where no one has booked. Early on a Tuesday was great for this today! We've also had great luck at other locations super late at night.)
Warped 2 OhioBreakout Saint JohnEscape roomIRLSo... to be frank here, I'm in the upper half of my 30s with no younger folks that use any of this slang in my life. I've heard these terms, but not often, and I don't quite get what they all mean. But the room seemed like a fun new room to try out while we were visiting the area on a cruise. We had a fun time playing this game, there were a lot of fun puzzles and we did not need any hints, even without knowledge of the slang. The biggest down side here is the doorway height between rooms. Yes, they absolutely warn you about the doorway heights on the way in - but when you're in the moment, focusing on puzzles, it's hard to remember to duck. I hit my head once lightly - not a big deal. But a little later on I hit my head at full speed straight on and had to sit down due to how hard I went into it. So my only advice here for you is to DUCK going in between rooms.

The power of observation was key here, as in many escape rooms, the details were impeccable and the puzzles were intuitive. We had an absolute blast and were tickled pink by the ending. I would highly recommend this game to anyone, we played with 2 of us and though we don't remember the exact time we had left, we made it out with no hints that we recall.
Experiment C73Conundrum Escape Rooms - ArvadaEscape roomIRLWhen we booked this room with just the two of us we were warned it would be tough for 2. Though it WAS tough - we barely got out in time - it IS doable with 2 if you have some escaping experience, without a game master stepping in. We only needed 1 small nudge to utilize an answer we had already found, but didn't know where to input. Communication skills are absolutely key to getting through this very unique room, especially the first part. A lot of the puzzles here were things we've never seen in escape rooms before, they really got us thinking, and they were great! As their website warns (and other reviews here) - there is a good amount of crawling. We had such a great time in this room that if we had more time in the area, we would have been back for the rest.
Frost Base ZRabbit Hole Recreation ServicesEscape roomIRLThe set design on this game really shines through. From the moment you start the game it was really immersive and well designed. We did need a few hints on this one to make it out in time with just two of us, but we did end up getting out with 8 minutes to spare. This is the kind of room where if you see a puzzle and it doesn't make sense yet, just give it a little time until you find the information you need. A little crawling is required. We had a wonderful time overall with every game at Rabbit Hole!

We got hung up on one puzzle in particular that required multiple solutions - we were very close to asking for a hint when I figured out how to get the second solution. We sure felt silly that we overlooked it for so long! We made it out with plenty of time to spare with just the two of us and no hints.

We realized quickly that the power of observation would serve us very well at Rabbit Hole. Making sure to look around at every little detail was a great help. There was one thing that we overlooked (that was right in front of our noses) that we needed a little nudge on, but otherwise we made it out without much help. And the ending of the room was delightful!
Dragon RealmMile High Escape OpsEscape roomIRLThis room was so incredibly magical! We made this escape our first in the area and we are glad we did! From the beautiful set design to the unique puzzles, the whole experience was amazing. Our game master was one of the owners and it was great to chat with him after we made our escape. There was more than one moment when I squealed with delight so that's a top notch room in my book! We did escape with almost 20 minutes left to spare with just the two of us, so if anything, I wish the room was longer, but I'd certainly recommend this room to both new and seasoned players.
