The GreenhouseEscape Hunt ParisEscape roomIRLI played two games, greenhouse and metro, there and have to say overall it's ok but not very good. We played in English. I already played a couple of other games and think i know what does make a good game. The introduction to the game is already in the game what breaks immersion and also give time to already look around. The Gamemaster didn't really do a good job in making a an immmersive atmosphere to prep us for the theme of the game. Also the Safetybreafing can be handele better , in our case it was also just the question if we played before and got shown the green emergency button. Also the Gamemaster didn't ask what kind of game we a expecting and gave us way to many hints. Also our GM forgot to tell us that the audio of laughter of the gnoms means that they giving us a hint and broke the immersion massively by entering the room mid game and tell us this information. He blamed it on his lacking english skills. But i think that's a very poor excuse - just use a checklist and/or print the rules out for english participants. Also all in all some props looked like they need some care and need to be updated. By example why having a labyrinth puzzle with 4 drawers if only 3 are actually are used. And the end of the game was for both games very anticlimactic... They just suddenly open the door and then announce " congratulations you done it". In the case of the "greenhouse" I had the feeling that the last big prop was broken since it barely moved. Never experienced that in other places I have to say. The overall look is ok and the entrances area is cozy. But I personally will not recommend it to my friends or people who like actually good Escape Games. Overall it's a 2,5 stars.
