I've played over 100 rooms, and my teammate had only played 1 other room before this, and we both had a blast (pun intended). I can certainly recommend this game!

This is kind of experience you want first time player to have. Fun, plenty of aha moments, cute design, great game master that keeps you on track and great props… the kind of game that inspires you to play more escape rooms. Was actually a very good solo experience. Glad it was 70 minutes because I probably wouldn’t have finished it in 60 because there are a lots of puzzles!

The Fright Before Christmas - CLOSEDParadigmqEscape roomIRLThis is a cute thematic game perfect for spooky season. Lots of locks but well clued so you’ll be fairly certain of which lock needs which clue. We enjoyed it with 2 adults but I can see this being a fun family Halloween activity for some younger players. Extremely Generation-1 but well done, cute and a charming set.

Overall, it was a great Newport experience. Our group of 4 rather enjoyed the game. 2 of us have played 75+ games and thought that maybe In a larger market Sissy’s Saloon might not stand out, but as a Newport experience, it was perfect. That being said, we took 2 friends who had never played a game before and they had an amazing time and have become hooked on escape games since. Where I may have rated this room a 7/10, they gave it a solid 10 and couldn’t have been more excited to return and play other games. Escape Games Newport seems to be a great company and I look forward to playing more if their games when we return to Newport.

I love when companies lean into local lore and the search for DB is great story to tap into. We played as a team building exercise with a mix of experienced players and first timers and everyone loved it accross the board. An excellent Pacific Northwest game.

Exciting and engaging gameplay, unique puzzles and funny nods to my childhood. Lambino’s Casino checks all the boxes!
Magic KingdomMaze Rooms - VermontEscape roomIRLOne of my earliest games played and still one of my fondest escape room memories. Whenever I find myself explaining what an escape room is all about, I often find myself using this game as a reference point. It’s certainly on the higher end of escape rooms (they must have had an amazing budget) but I think it’s a great example of escape room potential. Maybe not the most challenging game out there, but certainly among the funnest and I wish I could play it again for the first time.
