The EscapeThe Unlockables - San DiegoEscape roomIRLLoved this room! It's very low tech, but still quite challenging.
Three KingdomsClockwise Escape Room - PleasantonEscape roomIRLWe absolutely love Clockwise rooms, so when they opened the new room we knew we had to try it! It was absolutely adorable! My whole family is into fantasy and DnD, so we knew this room would be great for us. The set decorations were great! Our operator mentioned they were going to add another puzzle to the second room--we whizzed through it quickly. And make sure that you completely empty each of the chests: one opened and we missed a clue because my daughter didn't pull out all the items from the chest!
Death by ChocolateBond's Escape Room - ArlingtonEscape roomIRLThe design of this room was super cute. A chocolate factory on steroids! lol! Though, there was some darkness in the plot (kids are going missing!!) the rest of the room was really fun. I liked the tetris-like puzzle. There was another puzzle that was INCREDIBLY frustrating. I would go to this company again.
Drago's Castle5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther This room is more of an interactive story than a true escape room. It's quite fun. There's a set amount of time that you can use for each of the puzzles, and if you spend too long, the voice over says "I'll open this for you" (or something along those lines) and ushers you forward so you don't miss out on the rest of the story. It was incredibly child friendly, though there was one moment of "scary" at the end.
Hope EndThe Ministry Of PeculiaritiesEscape roomIRLThis room is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere starts the moment you arrive, before you even step into the lobby. There are live actors which help usher you through the experience--I came into this part blind! I didn't realize they would be with us the whole way through! They were absolutely FANTASTIC. It's definitely on the creepy side, but I've seen worse! There was a lot going on so parts of the story were a little challenging to follow, but the puzzles were great.
The LadderHatch EscapesEscape roomIRLHatch Games is probably my favorite Escape Room company. This game is absolutely fantastic, because it's not only well decorated and on theme, but the re-playability is phenomenal. When you finish, they give you a receipt of your experience, and outline the different endings that you could play for--there are so many! Each of the decades/rooms has enough puzzles that I can see coming back and playing it over and over again, just to try out all the puzzles!
Ghost HuntersMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLSuch a cute game! For anyone who loves Ghostbusters (the films). It even has a Slimer-like ghost that flies around the room! The room was very family-friendly. We had to work together as a team on a lot of the puzzles.

Sherlock Holmes & Beautiful MindMaze Rooms - Robertson BlvdEscape roomIRLThis was one of the weirdest rooms I've ever done. The plot itself is really bizarre--we're going INSIDE Sherlock Holmes's mind??--but when you get inside there are a bunch of really weird and creepy visuals, and bizarre puzzles. That being said, it provided a challenge, and we had to use teamwork to make it all work out. Some of the puzzles were incredibly challenging. Others were a little finicky. Others were quite creepy.
Chernobyl Disaster: Moments AfterThe Escape RevolutionEscape roomIRLThere were a couple of times during gameplay where puzzles were quite individual and we would be bottlenecked waiting for one or two players to finish up a task so we could all move forward. That being said, the atmosphere of the game was amazing. The special effects were top notch. We were really awed by the set decoration. It was also really, really hot in there.
