The Cabin: Chapter 1Escape Hour AustinEscape roomIRLI guess I didn’t read the game summary closely enough. The game has a live actor and we don’t like games that have other people in the room with us, but that’s on me. It’s also very, very low light. My vision isn’t the greatest so this was a struggle for me for the entire game. The room is old and some of the props are so worn down that it’s difficult to make out the markings. Some of the sounds the actor makes are so loud it made my ears ring. It was scary and the puzzles were good and made sense in the context of the room and there were a lot of puzzles. Maybe too many. If the actor wasn’t there to push us along, we would have never finished. Some of the sequences were triggered by the person monitoring us on the camera rather than manipulating in game objects. I wish it was a little more self contained.
