Amnesia
Quest Room - Culver City
Escape room
IRL
Really novel and immersive. Much more experience oriented than traditional linear puzzle solving. Hard to explain much without spoiling but this was super unique and fun. One of the more memorable rooms I’ve done!
Atlantis: The Forgotten City
Hypnotic Escape Rooms
Escape room

Awesome very fun room! High tech (no locks, keys, etc). Puzzles were fun and well designed. Challenging enough to make you think but not so hard that it felt like you were doing work. Loved this room, highly recommend. There’s a lot of space so 3-4 people is perfect for this room.

Really cool room with high production value and some impressive set design, including one of the coolest moments I’ve had in an escape room. The story completely unraveled and the plot turned to mush but thats OK because the room was so great. GM was also probably the most underwhelming I’ve ever had with unclear hints and sleepy demeanor (no asking for pics after or if we had any questions, etc) but a small blemish in an otherwise great experience
Casino Heist II
60Out - HHLA
Escape room
IRL
Room was good, not great. Kinda bizarre because before the game the GM was going over the rules and was like obviously don’t do xyz and then you had to do xyz pretty much immediately. It was weird and we blew 5-10 minutes out the gate. IYKYK Otherwise the game was fine!
Curse Of The Lost Pearl - A Magic Projector Adventure [VR]
Dreamscape - Westfield Century City
Escape room
IRL
Not really an escape room. Technically impressive with VR but if you’re into escaping, this is *not* for you
Da Vinci's Secret
60Out - Hollywood
Escape room
IRL
Elaborate puzzles and well a designed room. There were one or two slight technical errors with puzzles not firing off correctly or something needing to line up to the exact millimeter so that was slightly frustrating but overall awesome experience
Escobar: Part 1 (The Betrayal)
The Escape Revolution
Escape room
IRL
Really fun and immersive room. This location kills it! I liked prison escape from here better but we had a blast. Cut it wayyyy closer than usual but it was very fun. Quinn is a great GM!
Ghost Hunters
Maze Rooms - Robertson Blvd
Escape room
IRL
Def a higher tech room with some cool elements and fun moments but there’s a few major fundamental issues, including one puzzle that is not hard at all but is incredibly frustrating because it relies on unnecessary tech. And another puzzle or two that didn’t really tell you what you needed to do so the lack of direction felt odd Overall still a good time but you can tell it’s a newer room with some kinks to iron out
Godzilla vs. King Kong
60Out - HHLA
Escape room
IRL
Very solid room. Good production value. Not too hard but had lots of fun!
Heresy: 1897 [Immersive Theatre]
Doors Of Divergence
Escape room
IRL
Wow. A truly incredible and immersive experience unlike any other escape room I’ve encountered. Multiple paths and endings, wow. Our “proctor” (live actor GM) was awesome. I think we unintentionally went down a villainous route (whoops 👹🦹🏻♂️) called “Limbo” (what did you all get??). After you finish they give you cards with codes that you log online to track your progress. And then there’s a sequel room that plays out based on your previous decisions. Amazing. Can’t wait to play 1917 the next time we are back in town!
