Alchemy. Astronomy. White Magic. The Order of the Three Keys is the most powerful organization you’ve never heard of- until now. Join their ranks, and investigate the heretical experiments of Edmond Cavanaugh- a man whose actions reverberate though time itself. Your choices will determine what you encounter as you dig deeper into his manor. Powerful elixirs, long-forgotten demons, experiments with the nature of life itself: you may encounter all of these, or something else entirely. But be warned- the Order’s Proctors will oversee your progress. Convince them of your intentions, and they will come to your aid. But stray from the Order’s tenets, and your story may take a different path. The choices, as always, are yours.

We had to debrief in the car after this one. We wanted to love love this so much. Sets were amazing. Actors were phenomenal. We felt a bit down about struggling so much with things that seemed like it was mechanical issue or just fell short in execution. We had a break down in communication amongst us because we were getting frustrated. I think if we had had a few things go differently we would have loved it.

COOL concept, but there's a disconnect in the execution. Several things were not working correctly, and the puzzles varied from simple to awesome to "...Oops?" We were told after solving a unique puzzle that "oh, sorry that's not supposed to be on now" (Seems it was broken or was meant for the path we didn't take!) Two doors opened when they weren't supposed to, which created some confusion in an already difficult-to-follow storyline. I love the collectibles, but the triggers to receive them do indeed feel too random which left me with a bit of FOMO... "If I only I had said [Random Thing X] I could've gotten another one!" ... Is there a GameFAQ for this?! All this said, the acting and the best puzzle will stick with me. This is the one of the two I would replay because you actually see separate rooms. (1917 takes place in the same rooms so the replay appeal is lower.. despite having more possible endings!) The actress was excellent!

The concept for this escape room company is interesting however I’m not sure it all translated. Our group was a little unsure which of our decisions could alter the gameplay and it seemed to us like it was just one decision at the beginning and end. The beginning is so narrative heavy that we were confused and overwhelmed over who we were and what our goals were. I do like the way they explain the game rules and love how integrated into the storyline that felt. We ran into several technical issues and had at least 3 puzzles available to us that weren’t a part of our story line but were only told that after spending 10 minutes+ on solving each one. We questioned if the GM was even watching us. I’m being kind in rating it a thumbs up and that’s mostly for concept and acting because the puzzles were nothing unique or too challenging. After we finished it, my group was relieved that we hadn’t also booked the second part like we originally considered…which is never a good sign…

We played Heresy: 1897 and Madness: 1917 back-to-back over two days, and the replayability is mind-blowing. It was amazing to see how the choices we made in Heresy completely altered the storyline, puzzles, and characters we interacted with in Madness. And then were different again the next day for our second playthrough. The actors are incredibly talented and truly bring the world to life. Watching Annmarie shift from innocent to intense, and Kat completely transform right before our eyes was spectacular. We enjoyed every interaction with all the characters at Doors, they're such a friendly bunch of people trapped in time. I absolutely cannot wait to return to explore the other storylines and see where our choices lead next! See y'all again a week ago, in nine months, and in 1917.

My god what a treat First let me give compliments to the staff we met on our journey through time. Alexandra, David, Annmarie and Paul were phenomenal. I cannot rave enough about what experiences they brought to the game but just to the weekend overall. They were gracious enough to spend time after our games this weekend and it was just a treat to get to chat for a bit. The room; my favorite of the two but both were must-play games Superb immersion and story telling. This is a narrative first experience which I love. The puzzles were great but the story really pushed the game play and I finished the room immediately wanting to replay to see other story outcomes (different outcomes are possible) If you want to see what live actors can truly do for a room; this is a pinnacle of the art. Tidbits: Park towards the “center”. None of the doors open into a business so just walk in any of them. The doors to the “mall” bring you to common hallways and you can just walk to the signs to bring you to Doors It’s near the public bathroom Easy parking Amazing staff

There were 6 experienced players in our group and we had a lot of fun. I personally enjoyed 1917 more but this room was also very good. I believe most of the others in my group liked this room more. The character actors in both rooms were amazing. Set designs and story lines were very good. Puzzles were good but these rooms are more about the overall experience and interaction with the character actors than it is about the quantity of puzzles. I love that you can replay the rooms and have multiple different story arcs. As several others have mentioned, my only two complaints would be the noise coming from other rooms kills the vibe of the room and finding the door to the place was very difficult. Give yourself a few extra minutes to locate the proper entrance. I would love to see them fix both these issues.

While nothing really stuck me as unique or innovative in individual puzzles within the room, but the idea of multiple possible arcs strikes me as pretty cool. I’ve done other rooms where there’s some light story arc interconnecting other rooms, but none that stuck me with the idea of multiple pathways for each room providing a chance for true replay ability and it has been, and my team mates looking forward to continuing the current pathway with Madness:1917, but also seeing how replay-able the rooms can be. Few small annoyances, better notes on finding the rooms once at the complex’s street address would have been useful. Eventually found the main entrance although didn’t help the front desk was empty when we arrived. Once started in the game room, there were also a small mechanical problems with one puzzle but easily resolved by the game op/character actor without breaking the mood or flow of the game Overall, awesome use of live actors to be the game master, giving subtle clues when needed, and great responses when the team surprised them. Couple of my team mates are involved with community theatre and enjoy trying to break actors when they can, and the two characters we had for our time slot stayed in character flawlessly.
