Neighborhood WatcherThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLThis room was so immersive, well-themed, & fun! It also definitely had its scary moments & our game master, Keilee, was SO creepy that it freaked me out (in a good way; she’s a good actress 😝). Our favorite room here is Bros for Life, but Neighborhood Watcher is a close second. I highly, highly recommend trying out at least one Escape Ventures room if you’re in the area!
Bros for Life: Fraternity HeistThe Escape Ventures - OrlandoEscape roomIRLOMG! This was soooooooo much fun. Multiple rooms with so much to do, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming because everything is pretty logical and flows nicely. The GM, Michael, was great! Gave hints & nudges when we needed and didn’t interject when we were on the right track on our own. He also always stayed in character so that added another level of fun to it. Everything in the room (including the puzzles) was so on theme and entertaining! Truly a great experience. We had already planned on doing another room with Escape Ventures during our time here, but now we will likely be doing two more. *there were multiple moments that were cool but one in particular was a special effect that I hadn’t ever seen in an escape room and we really enjoyed it! Such an immersive experience ☺️*
Curse of the Hidden TemplePuzzleConnect Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe set design, ambiance, tech, flow, GM’s attentiveness, everything was great. This also was such a fun story and immersive experience. You can really appreciate the amount of thought and time that must have went into this room. We had a great time. And I really like that they take your picture in the room; it makes for a great memory when you look back on it. Highly recommend this place. We definitely will be doing their other rooms.
Drago's Castle5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther Great set design, ambiance, story, & immersion factor. We had a lot of fun! Also the animatronics & animations were cool. *crawling optional at one part, not required.*
Tomb5 Wits - ArlingtonEscape roomOther Great set design, ambiance, story, & immersion factor. We had a lot of fun! *I don’t recommend this room if you have any problems with claustrofobia as there is a part where you might panic. There are emergency exits in every room, however.*
Mind TrapThe Great Escape Room - Arlington [prev. Escape Room Arlington]Escape roomIRLMy husband and I really enjoyed this escape room. The set design, theme, and atmosphere are all great. It gives off creepy vibes and has one decent jump scare but apart from that nothing actually scary. We were able to escape with 22 minutes remaining with just the two of us (and we were feeling a bit rusty beforehand) so I would say it’s definitely an easier room, but a lot of fun. There are a few really cool reveals & fun, on theme puzzles. Something I want to point out is that there was no excessive reading or big jumps in logic like a lot of escape rooms seem to have. We only asked for one hint and I think if we would have thought about it a little longer we probably wouldn’t have needed it as we were already halfway there. So, in general this room flowed really well & I would recommend it for those that are newer to escape rooms or those that just want to do a fun, easy room.
The Mischievous ElvesOcean State EscapeEscape roomIRLNice set design, great and attentive GM (that even gave us a few extra minutes!), puzzles all fit the theme. Overall enjoyable gameplay. Don’t let the theme fool you, either. This room is no joke! Get ready
The Cellar: Dead End [prev. The Cellar II: Saul's Revenge]Mystery Soup Escape Rooms [prev. Lock & Clue Escape Rooms]Escape roomIRLSoooooooo much fun! This was the first time I actually jumped in an escape room… and it’s quite hard to make me jump 🤣 also our GM’s acting was so good that it made things a million times more immersive, scary and fun 😝! I also thought it was cool that he was giving hints in character when necessary. The set was also great and quite convincing. The room had good flow to it. Just know there is a looot to do… we would’ve made it out if we would’ve had a couple more minutes, but then we were told that only one group of 2 has ever made it out and they were a very experienced group (100s of rooms done) so that made us feel slightly better haha. I 100% recommend this room. I’d say get a group of 4-8 people together. The experience of the room alone is worth it. You will have to do multiple things that you’ve probably never done in any escape room, and will have an awesome, immersive experience. *Some notes: multiple jump scares and if you’re not good with scary or gorey stuff, this isn’t the room for you. Also, you can’t see your time countdown, don’t have a notepad nor flashlight… so with all that being said, some things may be a bit more difficult and it’s another reason why I recommend a bigger group to tackle this room.*
The Body ShopRed Fox EscapesEscape roomIRLSuuuuch a good room! So well put together, clever, immersive, flows nicely, lots to see and have fun with. The unique & memorable storyline unfolds in such a cool way, and every puzzle truly fits the theme (great mix of puzzle types too). We saw things we’ve never seen in an escape room; it was awesome. Also the GM’s are great & very attentive. All in all this escape room is definitely in my top 5! Loved it. If you can only do one escape room with them, I recommend this one. *Note: little bit of gore… if that’s not your thing, maybe don’t play this room.*
