The Pharaoh's TombThe Perfect EscapeEscape roomIRLThis was a great room with an absolutely great immersion factor and satisfying puzzles. A lot of tomb ones can be pretty hit or miss, but this one really is one of the best of this genre.
Maze Of HakainaKomnata QuestEscape roomIRLThis is to date one of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done. The story was incredibly well set-up and the mood was set extremely well and there were multiple moments that made my group audibly gasp from how great it was. Could not recommend more.
Deep Space5 WitsEscape roomOther I’m a sucker for anything space and this is the best space escape room I have ever done. The immersion is fantastic and they have puzzles that are pretty unique. I haven’t encountered puzzles like the ones in this room in really any other escape room that I’ve done. Fantastic room.
Escape from the TowerSecret City Adventures - Casa LomaEscape roomIRLI’ve done different escape rooms at Casa Loma and you really can’t beat the environment of it. Traversing through a castle during an escape room is undeniably cool. This one also incorporated puzzles better into it than other rooms I’ve done here, but also seemed to have less of a compelling story so you have trade offs.
King Of The BootleggersSecret City Adventures - Casa LomaEscape roomIRLI absolutely loved this room. It is so cool getting to traverse through an actual castle while doing an escape room and the actress that I ended up following was phenomenal. The storyline and puzzles change based on which of the live actors you’re following and I’m sure that there are varying levels of satisfaction you get from that, but I really enjoyed my storyline. It is a little strange though that since the group is split up, you will never be doing parts of a different room. Not my favorite aspect of it, but still enjoyed it a lot. More heavy on immersion, theme, and storyline than puzzles though. The puzzles were a bit weak.
AsylumEscape UEscape roomIRLThis room was super cool and had a part of the room where a live actor actually interacted with the game, which always adds an extra dose of immersion. The puzzles were hard, but that was expected and still satisfying.
Rugrats: Search For The Losted ToysThe Escape Game - King of PrussiaEscape roomIRLThis room was good, but something that we didn’t realize going in was that it was essentially just a reworked version of their Playground room. A lot of the puzzles were the same and since many of us had already done playground, it wasn’t a great experience. However I’m still giving it a positive rating because without that prior knowledge, it would’ve been a great room.
The HauntedBrooklyn Escape Room / ClaustrophobiaEscape roomIRLThis was without a doubt one of the creepiest escape rooms that I have ever done. The puzzles were good, but really where this escape room shined was making you feel like you were truly in the horror that they set up.
Ghost LightMyssTic RoomsEscape roomIRLThe puzzles for the room were very cohesive and flowed very well. All of the puzzles made sense and mostly were able to be followed in a pretty linear path. They did a good job with the set design, but it isn’t the most immersive room and I would say that at times the plot of what we were supposed to be doing wasn’t super clear. It felt more of a room where you are doing the puzzles independently from the story. However, the puzzles were still good enough and there was enough wow moments to make it a good room.
Grandma's Masterplan60Out - MelroseEscape roomIRLParts of this room were really cool and had fantastic set design and parts of it left something to be desired. It seems a bit imbalanced with parts of the game feeling a little more thrilling than other parts, but overall it was a good room.
