The Clock TowerEscape The Room - GlendaleEscape roomIRLI played Escape the Clocktower on 7/9/26 as a walk in booking, we had been given a preview of another room and were interested in booking the soonest available game as the set we saw looked incredible. Right off the bat, there was a game component that had not been turned on and was blue screened in the room, we acknowledged it and attempted to notify our game master. We started out with the first puzzle but did not solve it until more than ten minutes had elapsed despite doing the puzzle correctly multiple times. It was clear that this was a broken game element and that our game master was not paying close enough attention to us playing to activate the puzzle when we needed. This was made worse by us asking for a clue and being told that we needed to do something we had already done. Our game master eventually noticed the blue screened game element which required another employee to enter the game for a little over five minutes. They did pause our time during this fix but we were not pulled out of the room during it, which felt odd. We then did the puzzle correctly and nothing happened. We tried to do a bunch of other things to no avail and then asked for a clue and then were told to do something we had already done. There was no soundtrack playing in the room which honestly, was uncomfortable. This room had a lot of puzzles that were very interesting, incredibly unique puzzles that I’ve never seen in an escape room before. The concept was interesting, the set was full of references to time traveling films and movies, and there were several moments during the game where I was genuinely in awe of the puzzles. I wanted to enjoy this room. It was nominated four years in a row to be a top contender in the world of escape rooms from 2019-2023, but it clearly needs a full overhaul to fix the broken elements and it definitely needs a far more attentive guide than Will (or whoever was actually running the game, if Will was covering the front like some other companies do). This company does offer shared experiences so if that isn’t your cup of tea, I would avoid coming here. The price point was honestly what drew us in, there aren’t a lot of escape rooms for two players that don’t cost a ridiculous amount of money. But this isn’t worth the money. I walked away wishing I had spent more money at a different escape room. (This was cross posted to google reviews)
The AbyssMaze Rooms - VermontEscape roomIRLThis was a very unique room, it will be the smallest room you ever play! The premise is very interesting and gameplay was awesome, the haptic feedback of the room is awesome. Relatively simple if you are experienced with escape rooms but still absolutely worth it in my opinion.
