The Morrison Game FactoryPostCuriousEscape roomTabletopThis game was such a joy to play. The puzzles were smart and intuitive, with satisfying and elegant solutions, but the story really took center stage. We had no clue what this game would be about, but the characters revealed themselves in a surprising way and pulled us in immediately. The story was impactful, memorable, and took us on a ride. Combine that story with high-caliber puzzles, a beautiful cohesive aesthetic, and quality game materials, and you’ve got yourself another winner from PostCurious.
The Emerald FlamePostCuriousEscape roomTabletopOne of the best of the best when it comes to tabletop puzzle games. Beautifully drawn and crafted game materials, a storyline that ends far from where it begins, and incredibly satisfying puzzles that solve elegantly. The game is broken up into three chapters, so it’s easy to put down and pick back up again. A must play in tabletop puzzle solving!

EXIT: The Game - Adventures on CatanThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopAnother fun tabletop game that featured a lot of thoughtful puzzles and mechanics straight from the board game. We were also delighted by a clever and unique surprise at the end.
Mother Of Frankenstein: Volume 1Hatch Escapes - OnlineEscape roomTabletopA high-quality and story-driven tabletop puzzle game that we quickly fell in love with. The puzzles were intertwined with the story nicely and had the perfect level of difficulty - complex, layered, and meaty, while still being very approachable. The game materials were high-quality and themed beautifully. It also had nice stopping points where we could walk away and pick up where we left off later (it's a lot to cover in one sitting!). The game leans heavily on story (and they're upfront about that), but it presents the topic in an interesting and digestible way - it really got us hooked on a story that may not have piqued our interest otherwise. We kind of wished there was a more satisfying way to confirm our answers (you check your solutions like a test), but that was only one tiny moment that took us out of the world of the game. This is one of the better tabletop puzzle games we've played, and it left us excited to dive into the next two volumes!
EXIT: The Game - Advent Calendar - The Missing Hollywood StarThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopOne of the better installments from EXIT: The Game. Some really fun solves and surprising moments throughout, all leading to a unique ending. With a format of one puzzle per day, it’s easy to step away and come back to it later - or have a good old-fashioned puzzle binge.
EXIT: The Game - Prison BreakThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopA really fun game from EXIT with a diverse series of puzzles that were enjoyable to solve, despite the overused “escape the prison” theme. This installment featured two unique and refreshing game mechanics that haven’t been used in any of their other boxes before. The final puzzle was particularly clever and a great way to finish. This game was on the more difficult end (as advertised on the box). If you haven’t done an EXIT: The Game box before, I’d suggest starting with a different game in the series and work your way to this one.
EXIT: The Game - The Hunt Through AmsterdamThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopAnother enjoyable game in the series. Puzzles made use of the city’s landmarks and often required some creative thinking to solve, but no puzzle was particularly mind-blowing. Still worth a play!
Masters of Crime: IncognitoThames & KosmosEscape roomTabletopAn entertaining murder mystery style game that relies heavily on story, details, characters, and evidence, with light puzzling in a few places. The story flowed nicely and the solutions always felt fair and earned, but the game didn't feel balanced throughout - we wish there were a few more things to discover earlier in the game, but most of the details we needed were dumped all at once towards the end. Would recommend if you enjoy mystery solving, diving into details, and good story.
Cluebox - Captain Nemo's NautilusiDventureEscape roomTabletopA short, fun tabletop wooden puzzle box with satisfying solves. Nothing too mind-blowing, but creating an hour's worth of puzzling with nothing other than the box itself was impressive, and each solution was fair and tactile, resulting in a few mini surprises. You can reset the box after playing if you want to pass it along to a future solver.
