The Nest [Immersive Theatre]Hatch EscapesEscape roomOther I loved it when I first played it, and now I help run the experience as a GM at Hatch! So thankful I get to live vicariously through this amazing show over and over again!
The Ghost Of MentryvilleArcane Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThis game was so creepy and fun! Our actor was amazing, giving us helpful hints without giving too much away and staying in character. The storyline unfolded in a way that turned the linear gameplay cyclical, and the entire environment of the room was used to great effect linking the miniature versions of each room and the larger equivalent. Overall very charming, high quality props, and well written! Highly recommend for 2 people!
The Curse Of The Black KnightEscapeX Rooms - IrvineEscape roomIRLWhat a fun adventure!! I’d recommend 2-3 people as the game is linear and the spaces can be tight. I felt particularly immersed in the fantasy genre, due to my own media consumption as of late lol, and I loved the way the gradual unlocking and subsequent exploration of this tiny castle continued at a steady pace throughout the entire game, and even after it ended.
Wizard's Treasure60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLFun time! The scenic design, particularly in the 2nd room, was very well done. It felt truly immersive in all the right ways. I also love the idea of a 100% success guarantee, I think that should be implemented into beginner games everywhere.
Da Vinci's Secret60Out - HollywoodEscape roomIRLMy team and I enjoyed the amount of puzzles, variety of puzzles, plus with 4 people we got out with about 20 mins to spare! Our GM Alex was super nice and accommodating, and also helped us out with the lobby puzzle. There are a few fun design features in Da Vinci’s secret that I enjoyed where an object is used again later in a new way. A few tech props could use a touch up or an additional instruction pre-room to not be afraid to use MORE force but still to be careful. Overall a fun room!
Case '9360Out - Silver LakeEscape roomIRLI got to playtest this room, and it was my favorite horror room that I’ve ever done! (out of 5ish). They have a unique feature that, let’s just say keeps your adrenaline up throughout the game. The progression throughout all 6 rooms/areas was really satisfying and well paced.
Lethal InjectionOpen Door Escape Games - RedlandsEscape roomIRLMia was a great GM! My group was able to fit 4 rooms at Open Door in one day and we had a great time playing through them all. Sad to see Inheritance and Pillow Palace closing on their very last day, but all puzzles were well thought out and the atmospheres were immersive and welcoming!

Hotel On Road 6660Out - HHLAEscape roomIRLThis was a good enough game that I wanna give it a little boost in the algorithm ❤️ and be true to my experience. Of 5 rooms today, this was my favorite, not because of its puzzles, but because of our great GM Indira and the humor embedded in the gameflow leading to some hilarious and memorable moments. This set was also an unexpected underdog today with a few clever tricks that surprised me and stayed true to the horror genre.
