Really unique gameplay and tons of puzzles, which we thought would’ve been especially great for a bigger group interested in lots of parallelization.

Chef Ramses II is in a bit of a pickle. A well-known food critic is about to visit one of his under-managed restaurants. Can you manage his chaotic kitchen and help him in completing orders before he gets bombarded with bad reviews?

This was a truly amazing game. We had so much fun working independently at times and together at times. Highly recommend doing this nontraditional room.

Great room. It’s score based, not time based. Falling is still possible but you’re generally not expected to 100% the room on your first try. I suggest 5-6 people, 4 felt a little thin. Really captures the feel of Overcooked. More than most rooms it is a huge test of information management as the room is designed to be solved synchronously. The specific puzzles and room fun, but wouldn’t result in a “love” rating. The best part of the room is the novelty and chaotic feel.

This is one of my favorite rooms I’ve ever played! I love playing the Overcooked video game as well, so I was already excited for this idea for an escape room—and Undercooked did not disappoint! It brings the frenetic pace of the game into an escape room by giving you puzzles upon puzzles to solve in pretty much any order. This is one of the few rooms where I would recommend playing with 4 or more people. There is plenty to do and honestly you will not be able to complete it all with just 2 people, (which is how I normally like to play). Why I loved it: - Puzzles, puzzles, puzzles! So many puzzles all over the place that it’s hard to even decide where to start. I enjoyed the mechanism for entering your solutions to the puzzles too. - The theming is spot on for matching the video game. I loved that it’s not just the typical horror/creepy type of theme that the majority of escape rooms are. I always prefer a fun theme that isn’t depressing. This made for a great experience where you can just go have FUN solving puzzles! - Getting a high score in this room is genuinely a challenge. I have no critiques—this room was absolutely awesome!

Fantastic!
Super immersive! Feels just as chaotic as the video game too! 😃

So many more puzzles than your average escape room. And
Expert
Expert just for the sheer number of puzzles. We played as 2, but a larger group could scale this back. With 4+ I would say it’s a Hard.

Such a fun room. A lot to do…but it’s less of an “escape the room” and more of a “do as much as you can room”. Highly recommend. Think 4 people would be the perfect amount, but you can get away with fewer.

A ton of fun! Plenty to do for a team of 4.

Super fun, puzzles were well thought out and fun to complete! Not exactly an escape room but still scratched the itch.

This is a room that seems clearly inspired by the video game. The game is a large kitchen with numerous different, non-linear elements. The kitchen and all the elements are beautifully done and it’s a lot of fun overall. We did it with a team of 3 pretty experienced players and we had a hard time. I think 4-5 people is ideal. This is not a typical game in that you are trying to escape. Instead you just solve as many recipes as you can. That makes it difficult to evaluate how well you did in the end. The plus is that you can actually play this game again if you don’t solve all the puzzles. We didn’t and may try again in the future.

This is a chaotic, puzzle fest, parallel solve game that attempts to recreate the chaos and energy of a restaurant kitchen. Our team of six completed 25/26 recipes, and probably needed five more minutes to finish the final one. Like all games at Omescape, the set is stellar but because of the game’s theme (being a chef in a restaurant) it lacks the wow moments of Robotopia or even Haruka High. Ultimately, Undercooked was an amazingly executed game that I didn’t love. The frenzy and "pandemonium in the pantry" idea wasn’t enough to overcome the lack of narrative immersion which drive so many rooms I adore. Was it brilliantly done? Yes. Would I recommend everyone play it? Also yes. It’s another extraordinary game from Omescape. It earns my applause, if not my affection.
