170 escape rooms
I’ve done a lot of “ancient Egypt” themed rooms, including the Tomb of Anubis in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and this room still impressed me. It’s hard to be impressed when you’ve seen high quality production but what I will say is that this room delivered on the puzzles! We had a group of 4, 2 experienced enthusiasts and 2 new-ish to escape rooms and I’m glad that we all had a blast. There is a side quest that our game master, Horatio, shared that we could do. I highly recommend doing the side quests too for a more fulfilling experience. The puzzles are not always obvious but when you do get it, it makes sense how that solution came to be. Be prepared to get a little more active. There’s a lot of ground to cover. I do like that they listen to feedback and designed this room specifically to be more accessible. Whereas previous iterations leaned more heavily on reading comprehension, the puzzles in this room are challenging but accessible for everyone. At least, that’s what we heard from the actual designers of the room who spent their time talking to us about their latest rooms! Parking is relatively easy at this location because they have a dedicated parking lot. I wish we could do the other rooms too but we were pressed for time!
