Ever since his young daughter went missing, old Mr. Garrity has become a recluse. He boarded up his windows and doors, and refused to talk to anyone. Now the only time that anyone sees Mr. Garrity leave his house is when he crosses his overgrown yard going to and from his work shed. You don't know what he's doing out in that shed, but he spends a lot of time locked inside, sometimes working late into the night. Recently there have been new disappearances; other local children have gone missing. And you've noticed strange lights in that shed of Mr.Garrity's; you know he must have something to do with it. One night you decide to break in. Inside you find a dollhouse glowing eerily from the middle of the shed. It calls to you, and ignoring your instincts, you move toward it....

➕A 3D escape room concept holds immense potential. The tactile sensation of investigating items and uncovering secrets provided genuine enjoyment. Building the dollhouse also added to the experience. ➖The adhesive on the puzzle items proved bothersome, often sticking excessively. While it serves its purpose, it occasionally hindered the overall experience. ✖️Puzzles featured excessive logical leaps. Many of the puzzles felt overly challenging and unfair. They often required leaps in logic without adequate signposting, resulting in a frustrating experience. We resorted to hints after a few minutes of struggle. ✖️The narrative felt lackluster. While it contributed some immersion, its primary role seemed to be providing a framework for the puzzles. The Cursed Dollhouse presents a promising concept on paper, but without solid puzzle design, it falls short of delivering an engaging experience.

a very fun and novel idea for what it presents. i enjoyed the story and the flow of puzzle discovery. some puzzles need more explaining than the intuitive clues left behind for them. i think the creator was thinking ahead in time but executed it in a way that it wasn’t prepared for in design

Having a truly 3D environment and “rooms” to explore for a home game was quite novel. There were many solutions that made very little sense, but still, the combination of so many unique elements has to be applauded. The story, while not written very well, was quite fitting to the theme, and it has a satisfying conclusion. One of the most memorable home escape rooms you’ll play!
