I was a bit disappointed. The room has potential for sure as far as it being nicely decorated but as far as everything else, it was a miss. There is a delay in the mechanisms. Even though we would solve the clue, either nothing would happen or it was delayed. There should never be long delays when solving the clues. There were times the worker had to manually open (from the control room) the contraption because it was faulty. Seems like the engineers need to fix the quirks. The lighting was pretty dark for some of the clues. There was one clue where even though it was “lit up” it was so badly placed that it was hard to see the pattern. Even if your eyesight is good. It was an okay experience. Not satisfying at all.

You absolutely only need two people to play this game. From beginning to end, the gameplay is weirdly dificuly, far too easy, then frustrating. It’s definitely not for the visually impaired as it was very dark (we had to use our flashlight), and part of the gameplay required almost a 2X zoom on a camera to see. While not terribly disappointing, it doesn’t feel like we satisfied any itch for escaping a room. Glad we got this on Groupon for pretty cheap. Might be a good starter game if you’ve never done an escape room before, but after doing several pretty surprising and captivating rooms at other businesses, I have to admit it was pretty disappointing.

I would keep expectations low. The gameplay was easy enough and aspects of the set were pretty interesting. We had a pretty distracted GM (handling another room with kids) and didn’t get an accurate end time. Overall though was a fun enough, last minute room, but wouldn’t book this in advance.

This company focuses more on their alternative experiences than the quality of their games. Because of this their locations are busy, messy and chaotic. Worst of all we had a terrible game master that would answer our calls for help. As far as the game goes i have mixed feelings. It has a lot of potential but a few things really broke the magic. For instance, they had this really awesome old school looking westerny phone. This would have been perfect for getting hints through. But rather, they gave us modern walkie-talkies; breaking the ambience. Then I’m the salon there was a random bed which served no game purpose whatsoever. Just was randomly there. Plus the ceiling was a modern drop T ceiling. It was a shame, cause so much of it looked so good. On a positive note, they did give us more time to complete since they screwed up. So at least we got to finish.

This room was ok. Staff wasn’t that great. We finished the room and there was nothing that made it feel like you were done. So we waited a few mins calling the GM on the walkie talkie and no answer. Finally the gm came and said sorry was in a conversation with my co workers. So basically the weren’t paying attention to us and more focused on not working. This was the only room I have done with brainy actz and probably won’t do another room with them. The experience you have with the GM definitely lets you know if it’s worth going back again.

Fun and neat concept definitely an interesting gameplay.
