This is a super fun set up, fun games, pretty accessible to differently able people - what stands out though is the staff, their helpfulness, friendliness and knowledge, it really sticks out

Level 99 is like if Boda Borg and a classic arcade melded together into one activity. Our group of six in our mid-20s had a blast celebrating my birthday there and our 4hr time slot flew by, felt like 1.5hrs max! Wide variety of challenge types with something for everyone, and so many games (50+) available led to no lines, even during the busy time we were there. The tech for the points system was super cool too, especially the way it led to real-life rewards! One room seemed to be having a tech issue, so we notified a staff member. He looked into it immediately and fixed it, and even took the time to find us again, thank us, and let us know that he'd fixed the issue. We appreciated the quick attention to the problem and the follow-up! My only complaint (and this is likely because we went on a Saturday night) is that volume was not well-controlled, which is difficult for challenges that really require strong communication between players. Our group found ourselves struggling in certain rooms simply because we couldn't hear each other, even when shouting. I'll definitely be back! But not on a Saturday night

Our family loved this place. We went on an off-peak time and had our choice of rooms on demand which really added to the experience. Lots of different rooms for everyone, the kids could run off and do some of the more demanding challenges while the adults got to see some of the other challenges. Would recommend.

It’s kind of mini boda borg . Rooms are smaller scale and lower budget. Fun for a large group of people but gets very crowded.

Entertain collection of rooms and activities ranging from physical challenges to mental puzzles often involving communication and teamwork. There are also games and scavenger hunts through the venue. You do need to choose your timing wisely as it gets very crowded on weekends and school vacation weeks. Which lead to lines and waiting between rooms (which does count against your time). Everything but scavenger hunts require at least two people. There is nothing preventing others joining your room or you from joining theirs other than etiquette. We asked another pair to help us in a room and they declined. You do need to swipe your wristband at the entry of the room before entering, and it is rude to just walk up and add yourself to another group.

While I wouldn't describe this as a typical escape room experience, it was a blast to play and explore in! There are 40ish different rooms with a wide variety of skills and experiences needed to succeed. Every room has its own strategies you need to discover to earn up to 3 stars. Often earning even the first star might be challenging on the first attempt, but even if you don't succeed at first, each room is between 1 and 4 minutes at a time, so you won't have to wait too long to try again! I would say many of the rooms involve some sort of physical element, and might not be the best fit depending on your mobility. Lots of folks with sweat on their brow, from all the running, jumping, etc. We had a great time, and have already been talking about coming back to try some of the rooms we didn't this time and beat some of the ones we were close to getting 3 stars!

After visiting Boda Borg a few years ago, I returned to Boston with a friend with it on the list. I quickly learnt that they required 3 players and so we pivoted to Level99 - it was a great pivot. I really enjoyed the integration of technology to track progression, the rapid flow from room to room, and every challenge.

Not a traditional escape room. More like a collection of minigames that range from psychical challenges to puzzle like challenges. Overall a ton of fun. Every room hits a high quality and for the quantity available it’s insanely impressive. Their entire business model is super cool. You start by paying for time then can upgrade depending on if you want or need more time. Nothing new, but that’s seriously only the tip of the iceberg. You can customize your own account, view all their games and your overall progress to completing them, and can even earn “coins” and “puzzle pieces” towards merch and other prizes (getting to basically walk out with a “free shirt” is always nice). I definitely found myself getting frustrated with certain games. But it almost never was because a game malfunctioned (maybe once or twice did I feel as though the tech screwed me over). 99% of the error was made by me and my teammates. Which led to determination to beat games we struggled with and when we did complete them (by getting 3 stars) did our struggle feel entirely worth it. Huge payoff! The only thing I had a hard time with was with how they handled “difficulty” most of their rooms have very low full successes rates. I felt like 25% of the rooms showed full win rates of 1% or 0%. It makes overcoming those challenges have less power because almost all the rooms are hard (the highest win rate I saw was only 27%). Sure the win on those rooms felt satisfying but they could benefit from exclusivity. So when I beat a room with 1% or 0% I feel exclusive, smart, and proud of my achievement. It’s like getting sucked into a retro arcade machine and exploring its game library. Truly a one of kind experience. And something I couldn’t recommend more. If you enjoy immersive content. This is right up your alley!

I didn’t see any puzzle segment. More like physical, carnival-like game. Personally prefer escape rooms more - but definitely this one has less wait than boda berg.
