Legend talks about how the Great Dragon almost destroyed the world as we know it. The Sorcerers of light prevailed in the Great Battle and locked up the dragon deep inside the magic castle of Azurio. The Fountain of Hope stripped its powers for centuries. Now, a new Lord of Darkness has emerged! The castle has fallen and the fountain turned off. The Great Dragon is growing more powerful with every minute. You will have to break into the castle, turn the Fountain of Hope back on before the dragon grows strong enough to escape and destroy the world for once and for all!

Overall, we had a fun time and the room was immersive. Of the two we've done at GSR, this is definitely the better of the two, probably because we did it with fewer people. It felt very linear so I'd probably do the rest of the rooms at this location just myself and my husband if we were to find ourselves wanting to play rooms. As others have stated, some of the room is in disrepair which kind of takes away from the experience (in one instance, it made it hard to find the puzzle. In another, it made it easy to figure out what parts weren't needed for a puzzle.). The GMs were kind enough, however, it took them way too long to realize that we were missing a piece of paper we needed in one part, although they did give us time back which was cool of them. There were also two parts in the very beginning (puzzles like 2 and 3) that I wouldn't realllllly classify as "puzzles" that just took us too long to figure out due to it being more mechanical and not really puzzley. Once we got past those, though, we did pretty well getting through the room (despite not escaping on expert mode, we were about three puzzles away).

Two parts of the room would not be wheelchair accessible. Low light. Of what we saw, hearing did not seem to be necessary.

The theming was great, but the room is not maintained and many puzzles are broken. We thought we had messed up on a puzzle and wasted about 10 minutes redoing over and over, finally trying to brute force it by trying every possible combination, only for it to still not work. We then tried to call the GM through the communication "crystal" and that didn't work either. I had to push the emergency escape button and track someone down to get any assistance. The staff were on their phones in a break area when I finally found them. When they did assist they told us our first combo was right, when we showed them it didn't work, they manually progressed us and said "sorry it's been acting up." They did give us back 15 minutes due to the issue which was nice. At one point we got a key, that was delivered through a drop mechanism - the key snapped on impact with the catch tray. Multiple puzzles had little to do with the theme, and some of them required massive leaps in logic to get to the solution. It would be a good place if the room actually worked ...

GM is so unfriendly that I didn’t want to complete any puzzle from the beginning (host is more like an AI? Memorizing things rather than explaining. Also we asked if there’s a restroom, they said no. We have to ask “where can we find the restroom” to find one. That’s ridiculous.. Puzzle is ok, more like completing tasks than solving things. For me it’s an avoid, I won’t go to any other rooms here… check out other places, they are better.

Cool room that was well decorated! A lot of props and structures of the room have fallen into disrepair (not a visual choice) so it felt a little janky at tines. But the set was awesome and it had lots of tin side rooms to explore!
Yes
Some set design wear and tear found throughout the room, but it didn't change the game too much. Just sort of broke the illusion from time to time.

I really wanted to like this room and it had some good elements like using wands and the option of being able to choose an “expert” set up instead of standard. As I mentioned, the GM was unable to set up the “expert” option so it took away from the experience and makes me hesitant to recommend it to anyone.
Flowed well, intuitive puzzles
Fun design, so many rooms! Some props a bit worse for the wear
They were understaffed, there was only one GM who was relatively new and actually begged us not to do the “expert” level of the game (which is why we picked this room) because she wasn’t sure how to set it up/didn’t have enough time because other guests were showing up.

Liked using the wands
Pretty standard and forgettable, just there to get the game going

Easy because we had 2 experienced people doing the standard level. Expert level could’ve made it medium, maybe hard

My favorite room at this location. Really interesting puzzles and well done theme. The story was engaging and you could immerse yourself into the game. All the tech was really cool. One part was particularly challenging which was very fun to figure out. If you're at the GSR and had time for one room, I'd recommend this one.

This was my first ever escape room and from other games that I have played, it still can’t top any other of my experiences.
It flowed awesomely!

Loved that you could pick the level of difficulty. Game props and decor was great. A lot of rooms to go back and forth with. Very immersive. I felt like some of the rooms could be utilized more. It was like 1 puzzle per room which to me felt like a waste of space but i guess easier to decipher what went to what puzzle

You are given two different levels to choose from just before you start the game. The levels are still quite challenging, but we still made it out.
