When looking for a local room to do Tropic Escaperoom is the first I check for a new room. When we did Sugar Rush it was still new and had a bug or two, but the team was great in helping work around the issues. We still enjoyed the room and will still check back frequently for new rooms.

The room was themed cute and had a good story to it. Was underwhelmed and frustrated due to a lack of guidance in the room. We asked for a clue and had to wait longer than necessary for them to type out a clue. Also only asked for a clue after being beyond frustrated with one puzzle. The answer did not make much sense in the end either. Our GM also explained she didnβt get that when she completed in the room. Some mechanisms did not work, leaving us searching and trying other answers when we had already figured it out, it just wasnβt working properly. βHintsβ from the GM are necessary in this room A LOT due to there not being any clues or notes in the room, so thereβs no way to complete items without them coming on the tv and telling you what to do with certain items.
The theme is a cute idea. The actual room has a flow but is interrupted due to items not working properly. Ended the room more frustrated than with a feeling of accomplishment.
Set design was cute. Different factory set up. Only one room though, the other one we did here was only one room as well.
GM Kristen was so nice and welcoming.

Plot of getting the factory was cute. All puzzles related to candy and the candy process.

I would honestly say medium or hard due to there being no guidance for items you find and how to use them. Once you discover something, you just have to know what it is for and most of the time, you donβt. They feed you hints on the screen but they arenβt actually hints because they are necessary to know what to do.

The doors didnβt automatically open like they were supposed to so we were left thinking we hadnβt solved it when we had, we just didnβt know a door was going to open. (On more than one occasion)

Room was not properly reset. Clues are either statements of the obvious, or the answer, rather than leading you. Many things like toggle switches and such were not obvious
