Your crew has been thrown into the pen, but luck may be on your side. The last prisoner in your cell successfully escaped, can you follow the clues he left behind and escape as well? You only have one hour until the guards walk their next rounds. You will start the game in real handcuffs and in a jail cell.

We had one broken puzzle that really threw the whole room off because its a single track room. The GM was extremely apologetic which made it a bit better. The vibe was there, puzzles were fine. But the hint system at this location is a fail because it doesn’t know where you’re at in a puzzle. I also hate that because the GM doesn’t have a camera in the room to track our progress he didn’t realize we were stuck because the puzzle was broken and let us sit building frustration for 20 minutes.
One broken puzzle knocked the flow off, but other than that well put together
Starting handcuffed is a nice touch
Great GM even though their hint system sucks

This room would’ve been better if we hadn’t wasted a lot of time on one puzzle that was broken. That lost our interest early on so we felt rushed and less engaged with the remainder of the room. This problem would’ve been nonexistent if they didn’t have a hint system on an iPad rather than an actively watching GM who would’ve been able to see that the puzzle was broken early on. Other than that, the room was fine with a couple of interesting puzzles.
One puzzle was broken which really put us out of it because we wasted a lot of time and hints on it.
Fine
GM was very apologetic about the broken puzzle, but it would’ve been better if he was monitoring the room to catch it before we wasted so much time on it. Not his fault—I’m just not a fan of their hint system rather than having an active gm.

This was the worst escape room I’ve ever played. The theming was mediocre at best and the hint system was abysmal. The hint system uses an iPad where you scan QR codes next to puzzles to get hints that hurt your overall time. The room host is nonexistent and the hints are awful and unhelpful. The puzzles rarely made sense and most of them were poorly made. I do not recommend this room to anyone under any circumstances. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This was creative and a lot of fun. Note: you use an iPad to request clues and each clue deducts points from your total. Great GM, solid theme, reasonably active.
Started in actual handcuffs. Good flow, we got stuck on a puzzle toward the end and needed about 3 more minutes.

There was a very unique puzzle in this room that our friend got! It took a minute but she was the only one to figure it out! I should point out that there aren’t game masters at Hourglass Escape. Instead you get clues from an iPad. You will start will 100 points and for every clue that you use, points will be deducted from your score. It’s a unique way to have a room be self sufficient.

I remember needing the crawl at one point so you should call the facility and ask if you would need help moving around.
