The dinner host, Lord Garrick, was a former adventurer and during one of his excursions, he took a relic from a ritual sight not knowing that it was part of something sealing the demon lord gluttony away from the mortal realm. Upon breaking the seal the weakened demon lord possessed the adventurer and returned to his home where he now spends his days luring people to his home to kill and devour them in hopes of regaining his former strength to take over the world.

My family and I played The Last Supper at Quest Tavern Escape Room and had an excellent experience. I called ahead of time to see if they could customize our game to celebrate my brother’s birthday, and Diego offered up several different options. I ended up sending the team a list of fun facts about my brother and when we played the game, Julian (our fantastic Lord Gerrick) incorporated a special puzzle and several specific references that delighted my brother. They even had a black squirrel stuffed animal (his favorite) with a birthday balloon hidden in the room for us to find. The staff at Quest Tavern truly distinguished this experience- the thought and care they put into making sure our group had the best time was unparalleled. Also, as a person who is easily scared, I was nervous about playing this game. Julian, the actor in our game, was excellent at balancing humor with spookiness and everyone in our group left thinking that this was one of the best escape room experiences we’ve ever had. As dog lovers, we were especially delighted when Milo joined in the game and our group photo, adding a lot to the ambiance and making the overall experience next level. We would wholeheartedly recommend playing a game at Quest Tavern, and specifically with Diego and Julian, who were wonderful hosts.

My new favorite room/experience. Seriously the best. Every puzzle made sense with the storyline and was just so expertly put together. Two of us completed the room with seconds to spare but the entire experience from start to finish was unbelievably excellent. Do yourself a favor and go do this room. A+++

The Last Supper is remarkable in its commitment to immersion and improv. The puzzles are clever, the space is well used and immersive, but what makes the room special is Lord Garrick, a maniacal noble with the charm of an aristocratic sadist on a cannibalistic bender. He snarled at us, demanding obedience, and when we didn’t he was clever and funny. It’s equal parts theater and threat, fun and fear. There are jump scares, tension, sudden laughter, and the delicious sense you’re dancing on the edge of a story that might just devour you. Though one late puzzle breaks the immersion slightly, the spell holds. We left delighted… hand and foot in mouth.
A tiny bit scary in moments, but almost entirely jump scares

We had dinner with Lord Garrick and it was delicious! I cannot possibly imagine a more pleasant castle in which to seek refuge. I have recommended my entire extended family to stop here on their travels, and so far no one has written me to share an experience that differed from mine. Come to think of it, no one has written me at all…
Diego was funny, charming, and occasionally terrifying.

The room was a great theatrical experience if that’s something you enjoy. It felt very immersive and on theme. However, you spend a significant amount of time in the theatrical performance and there isn’t any puzzle solving happening during this portion. So if you enjoy that you will love this room! But if you want more puzzle solving and less theatrics this may not be the room for you.
Not a lot of puzzle solving and very linear, but very immersive.
The atmosphere was great and it felt very immersive.
Always great!

After finishing Hope End just last week, I was eager to try the Last Supper and compare 2 of the top live actor escape games in Southern California. I attended this one with a meetup group, since it would be too scary for the full capybara family. I considered bringing big bro, but after experiencing it myself, I was glad I didn’t! Without giving away too much, know that there are jump scares. However, I will say the acting in this room is top notch. They do let you know that you will get what you put into it, and if you’re willing to participate, it makes for a fantastic experience. I will go into more details in my spoiler review on this particular subject. The escape room portion of the experience was mostly “normal” in terms of challenge. A unique twist that they do here with this room, at least as far as I can tell, is that if you’re blazing through the puzzles, you actually get more live actor interactions. This is pretty genius in a way as it allows you to experience the full hour that you pay for, though people who like to go for speedruns might be disappointed. I’m more in the former camp and loved every minute of it. The puzzles are a mix of traditional locks and some cool tech. Overall, I definitely do recommend The Last Supper as every run is unique to you and your group. Our Lord Garrick was great, and in general, all the staff at Quest Tavern is great. If you’re willing to interact with the live actor, run, don’t walk, to this escape room!

This was fun, loved the actor and gamemaster. The room was immersive, linear in nature. Puzzles were not as hard, semi difficult. It was more of the experience, story was interesting. Definitely enhanced by the actor and gamemaster. Come into room with the mindset of having fun and being silly. Friends loved the room and thought it was a good comeback from not doing an escape room in ages. Second game at this location, did not disappoint.

Really fun room. It’s just as much immersive theater as it is an escape room. There is a live actor who did a great job. A couple jump scares throughout, along with good puzzles. Would recommend doing this room with silly friends who will try to make you laugh.

The staff at Quest Tavern is great and you will be treated well. The set for The Last Supper is good, the story is unique and interesting, and I enjoyed the puzzles (although some of them were a bit finicky). The actors did an amazing job as well. So why do I give it a like and not a love rating? You will spend a large chunk of the game in more of an interactive immersive theater; interacting with the actors, creating your own backstory, and that is simply not for me. I don’t mind live actors in a room. Weeping Witch and Arctic Storm are both in my top ten, but I didn’t have to become an actor myself in either of those rooms. Last Supper does what it does well, i just don’t like the immersive theater portion of this hybrid escape room/immersive theater experience.

This game was super divisive among our group, and it may be amongst your group too, this game is more improv (audience participation) theatre than escape room. Of the 60 minutes we spent in the game, I’d say we only spent about 25-30 minutes solving puzzles, some of which had highly dysfunctional locks. The other 30-35 minutes were spent interacting with the actor who had us sort of act alongside him, with a decent amount of improv. Ideally bouncing back and forth off of the actor. As someone who plays a lot of D&D, and is good at improv, and accents and all of that, I loved this room, it was like an IRL dnd session, the rest of my group was either on the fence or downright unhappy with this fact, so just keep it in mind. P.S. Milo is a very good boy
