Dead & Breakfast

I have such a soft spot for things that are atmospheric and spooky instead of full blown horror. This one nails that. Loved it.

As a birthday party of 4, this was an awesome experience. Back to back story was really fun. The GMs were really cool and nice and made our experience rad. We were the only ones there and no matter how quick we finished a room we were only given a few minutes in between, which was confusing to me because we were supposed to have 90 minutes for each room (way too much, I think the whole place could make all their rooms 1 hour and give way fewer hints) and got out in the usual 45 minutes as they gave us hints all the time a whole lot. If you’re in it for story, this was great. If you’re in it to solve puzzles and feel smart and see amazing novel ideas or tech, this might not be for you. I loved it for my birthday party although none of the rooms were amazing stand outs.

Such an elaborate and immersive experience. The money they spent on these rooms make the cost so worth it.

By far the best way to live this 4 chapter experience. The light continental breakfast/snacks of Danishes, fresh fruit platter, sodas and water was a delightful way to save money with a bulk rate discount. Definitely did not feel rushed and they give you time to set your own pace between rooms. My group was on a tight schedule for the day (as we were doing several companies that day) and going at our own pace with smaller breaks in between made our time more flexible.

Highly recommend this experience as the rooms all tie together to form a story. This experience gives you a better amount of time to complete each room, gives you breaks, as well as provides breakfast/snacks and drinks. My group loved this experience. We’re not great with horror but we fully enjoyed this experience. This room is definitely one for the books!

I thought, since there was a live actor, that this will be a scary escape room. 😅 I was wrong. It was spooky, but NOT scary. The puzzles were challenging, but not too bad. I was on the edge the entire time because I hate jumpscares and I was just bracing myself. 😆 Overall, amongst the 3 that we've done at Dead & Breakfast, this one was the best.

Great Experience, able to get through all the rooms in a few hours. Actors in all rooms but one. Most of the rooms have good production value & are different from one another.

An all-day experience from 10AM-4PM on a weekday, all 4 escape rooms in this location back-to-back and given essentially up to 90 minutes a room. Light food and drinks in a private room provided. Tier list from most favorite to least favorite: 1. Chapter 1 - The Basement (live actor) 2. Chapter 3 - The Study (live actor) 3. Chapter 4 - The Courtyard (live actor) 4. Chapter 2 - The Elevator Shaft

Four rooms all with great gameplay, amazing atmosphere, live actors and unique mechanics! Maybe the best rooms in SoCal? Awesome integration of actors into the puzzles as well.
