Pistoneer
51 escape rooms
I really wouldn’t recommend this game, it’s very poorly designed and not worth playing.
Gameplay
Puzzle design was poor, lots of deciphering puzzles on construction paper attached to the walls, very much a “old school” game done poorly. We spent well over 18 minutes at the start just trying to find the first puzzle.
Atmosphere
The game had many cheap props (purely decoration) from hobby lobby and other such things that still had their price tags on, and all the puzzles were either drawn on construction paper or printed and laminated. During the entire game the lights in the room were turned off and we were provided 7 flashlights to use, all of them went out after 3 minutes of usage, and the charger for them was well on display.
Customer service
Game master was very welcoming when we first arrived and asked us if we would like to change games since they had no other, we said yes and asked which game they recommended and they said this one. About 10 minutes into the game we were unable to find the first puzzle and had to ask for a clue to figure how to start, we kept asking for around 8 minutes until we actually had to leave the room to ask for a clue.
Story
Story was not conveyed at all through the puzzles and was very forgettable.
Difficulty
Hard
The only reason the game was somewhat difficult was due to the poor flow of puzzles and bad puzzle design.
Game tech
Neither, there were no mechanical or tech parts of the game, it appears that there used to be one maglock in operation at some point, but that puzzle seemed to be removed.
